Description

The Hydro Flow® Rain Ring® is a great solution for automating your garden. Its versatility allows you to effectively water soil as well as hydroponic growing media, without using small irrigation lines and drip stakes. The Rain Ring® has several strategically positioned distribution holes to fully moisten your grow media. Its heavy duty construction allows them to be used indoors under HID lighting and in full sun outdoor applications. Soak and rinse between cycles for years of trouble free use. Built-in 1/2 in barbed fitting.

After reading lots of reviews, both good and not so good, I bought these for my plants. These things are hard plastic and should last a long time. Some folks complained that they didn't spray or drip consistantly around. Before installation, I inspected the drip holes, and sure enough, some holes were not completely through. Easy fix, just used a small drill bit and reamed out all the holes to ensure good flow. Thats a lot of holes for 4 of these rings. I paired the ring with a 550gph pump and these rings spray really good. If you want dripping, go with a smaller pump or dial down the pressure on the pump. ... show more

My only issue is that 1 of the 2 I was sent looks like it was an old heavily used one that was returned and repackaged, gonna go ahead and give it a try because I need it and if it works then it works just not mad more disappointed was supposed to be new.

As other people mentioned the holes are not perfect. I didn't modify mine in any way and it works like it's supposed to, so I am not going to spend the time to round out the holes, unless my nutrients clog them.

The media could not be loaded. When my other brand was out of stock, I settled for these because I needed 12. And I got 12 identically terrible quality drippers. The holes are inconsistent and what’s crazy is, each one of them look exactly like this. They’re identically flawed, a small hole or no hole on one will be in the same exact position on the other one. I don’t know how they manufactured these like this. The water drips out completely uneven and I only discovered this issue when i stopped manually feeding and auto fed and started having a ton of issues.     • Decent and does the job, but sloppy manufacturering

It's okay, needs a lot of pre work when you get it. I got these and they work well. However when I got them the holes were barely there. It looked like someone had just tried to stab a knife in a pattern very sloppily. I took a screw driver and punched put each hole to be bigger and the same size otherwise I for sure would get clogging. They are also over priced compared to competition but they in a day or so so shipping was faster. All in all I'm glad I got them. They make watering much easier since my plants are low and bushy making it too much of a pain to hand water without moving leaves or branches. ... show more
