The biggest limitation which is not obvious: ports for both hydraulic fluid and air exhaust are located in tight spaces and differing locations than other similar pumps, restricting your ability to fit many hydraulic connections, air outlet lines etc. For instance, if you wanted to backfeed fluid through a pump of this design, it's generally doable to add that reservoir. But this one specifically is going to need either machining or a lot of monkeying around to make most commonly found hydraulic fittings accessible to run that system in line and maintain use of the pedal. That is the biggest reason I would not buy another pump of this specific model. If your application can handle this straight out of the box with no modification and it holds under pressure, you're probably good to go - Five stars. However the lack of options regarding running the hydraulic lines to a reservoir with this pump - I considered removing the pedal and rigging up other actuators to raise and lower it, but at the end of the day, I got a different pump with more accessible ports. That aside These pumps are generally stout; for the most part you can connect and run them out of the box. They are limited by their fluid capacity and the compressor running them. The one I got had a leak from the top seal once I got it going, although it arrived full of hydraulic fluid and initially held it upright. Around ~110psi it began to seep between the black plate and yellow housing. Still usable but messy, and seeps > leaks > bigger leaks, plus out of the box, so another reason to return it. that however, is unique to this particular pump. That's just Mass Chinese manufacturing generally speaking, and it's a common problem. These pumps are more often good than they are not - as long as you test them before the return date runs out.

Good price and worked well initially but started having trouble letting back down within just a few weeks. It wasn’t used heavily either. I asked for a return call from customer service this morning but didn’t hear from anyone today.

My arbor press had a hand pump on it that had seen better days. It worked OK, but was sloppy and cumbersome to use while trying to keep the part I am working on lined up. Just being able to operate it with my foot freeing up both hands was enough of a reason to make the switch. All I needed to do was order a new longer hose and it only took a few minutes to connect to the press. It works as expected and I am pleased with the upgrade. That said there are a couple of things to be aware of. 1) It requires 110 PSI and that is not mentioned in the product listing. So be sure you have a compressor that can deliver. I will need to add a couple of regulators to my shop since that's a higher pressure than I use for my air tools. 2) The air inlet is at the base of the foot pedal which can be a little awkward to use without stepping on the hose connector.
