  • barely adequate for my use, exactly $97 worth of press
Size Name: 6T
bought this to press out some control arm bushings, should have probably got the 12 ton instead. bushings were within its operating capabilities and turned out fine but it struggled with lower ball joints. pressing out, there was a bit of a violent pop that ejected the jack completely from the frame, catching me off guard and only narrowly avoiding injury. pressing ball joints in however, was a more fiddly matter. it was unable to provide enough pressure to force the new ball joints straight in on center, the overload bypass works. i was able to overcome this by working the edges in a circle pressing a little at a time until about 90% in then returning to center to finish it out, at near max output of the press it was able to make the last bit in a violent pop to seat the ball joints. the orange paint is not a permanent coating to protect the press, it is merely there to indicate if you have used it at all as it flakes off on contact with anything. the 2 pieces of black plate it comes with are very convenient that they are included however will bend permanently well before the 6t max is ever reached, i suggest getting thicker plates if you plan to use this regularly. actually, i suggest getting a 12t unit if you plan to use this at anything close to it's limit. idk what the parts are all called so i'm going to go with deck height adjustment pins. those are fine, the holes in the frame that accept the pins though, not particularly skookum, all wallowed out already. hell, the deck has a good sag to it too now. so while it seems to be engineered to survive the forces of the 6t jack it's built around, i can honestly say it only just barely does that. this is at best hobby quality, for home light duty use, dont count on it lasting a week in a commercial workshop and is priced accordingly. do not attempt to put any larger jack in this frame, it may just kill you and if you want it to last forever it might be better suited to maybe a 3t jack. so while my results were sub optimal, i know i was asking too much of this tool and my experience with it is my fault. except the paint, the paint could be much better. so weighing all things here, i'm giving this 5 stars overall not because its a great press, it isnt, but because it is exactly the $97 worth of press i paid for and it did what i asked of it when i should have bought $167 worth of press. ... show more

  • Only utilizes up to 6 tons before damaging itself
Size Name: 12T
It worked good at first, but I only got 7 uses from it. The bars start to bend around I estimate 7-8 tons of pressure, and after my last use bolts almost shot out when hitting only maybe 6 tons. It should not be titled 12t press, but maybe 5-6 tons, after this it will start to break.

  • Good value for the money, but…
Size Name: 12T
This is a pretty decent shop press for the home mechanic that is doing occasional light to medium duty work. I have used it to R&R the shafts and bearings on commercial lawn mower spindles, straighten a slightly bent shaft and repair some misaligned clamping tools. It worked flawlessly in those applications and will be a great addition to my shop. Also, its compact size and modest weight make it easy to move and store. On the negative side you must tighten the work beam down securely in order to keep the legs from being wobbly. This prevents you from quickly & easily adjusting the height up or down on the adjustment pins. Also, Vevor would be well advised to include longer and better quality fasteners with the press, many bolts are barely adequate and some are too short. Finally, I’m a little concerned about the relief valve on the bottle jack which feels a little wonky and takes a lot of force to fully close. Hopefully it won’t start leaking down when under pressure. All in all it’s still a good value for the money and I would purchase it again (along with some better nuts, bolts and washers). ... show more

  • It's a basic press
Size Name: 12T
Very basic press. It will do fine for pressing wheel bearings and light duty stuff. The price was amazing. Assembly was ok, the only problem being the jack doesn't bolt to the assembly so it seems a bit dangerous. The sliding portion is not a very tight fit so it will wobble a bit. The bottom arbor plates are junk. They serve almost no purpose since the are two square 1/4" steel plates. ... show more

  • Good value for small projects
Size Name: 12T
This mostly got the job done. But it was not without issues with the product. But it’s a goood value product as most vevor items. I will say as a 12ton setup, the frame isn’t sufficient. It’s better in a 6t configuration. I’ve already bent the horizontal frame supports, and there is noticeable flex when pressing tough stuff. I have also bent the included arbor plates. Highly recommend you buy better arbor plates which is near half the cost of the press! Around $50 The release knob for the Jack seems to loosen a tad I’ll have to check it as I’m tightening down to make sure it hasn’t backed out a hair causing the Jack to not extend or even back off at times. Highly suggest you buy a better knob and there are a bunch for this style bottle jack. This unit is small enough in height and not terribly heavy where you can add some 2-3” casters for mobility. ... show more

  • Definitely a good little press
Size Name: 6T
Good press, about the size of a stool. Mini I guess but great for a bench press and doesn't take up alot of space.
