This thing was much thicker than my vinyl siding and doesn't budge under pressure or torque. The side-profiling didn't really match my siding's profile that great, but once secured to the plywood underneath, my flagpole bracket was very secure and the clean white appearance should go with any color house. It also has grooves on the inside as well to more easily cut-out for rectangular electrical boxes or circular light fixtures. ... show more

Didn’t come with a trim ring as advertised. Usable I guess but there are cheaper ones that come with easier install.

This mounting surface fit completely flush against the siding and was easy to prep thanks to the guide grooves. Only downside is that the additional thickness of the part meant I needed longer screws for the bracket for the outdoor light. Easy fix and great results.
