  • Hydration Bladder is lightweight & cleanable....here's a tip to lock baffle sliders together!
Style: 3 Liter
I purchased the 3L hydration bladder because I wanted one that is lightweight and cleanable. It has a wide mouth at the top, making it easy to fill with water. It can be turned inside out to clean and dry. The hose is one piece so there's less areas for moisture to accumulate and start mold. The middle baffle is a nice feature since it holds the water in two chambers and makes it easier to put it into your backpack. But the baffle sliders were the part that was totally frustrating to me. It always took me forever to get the 2 sliders locked together. I started thinking I would forgo using it but that makes the bladder harder to put into backpacks. Finally I used pliers to snap the top part of the sliders together from the inside. Then from the outside, with the two sliders lined up together, I used pliers again to lock them together. What would take me 1/2 hour of struggle to lock the sliders now takes 15 seconds. This has been a game changer so I hope this tip helps others. ... show more

  • Excellent Quality and Design - Love the 3L
Style: 3 Liter
I bought this bladder because I thought the one from my expensive running vest was about done for. The place where the hose attached to the bag would not seat properly. Water would slowly leak out at the attachment point. When I received this bladder, I read that the connection port should be lubricated on occasion. - I had no idea. - I look the lube provided by this bladder and lubed the bladder I thought was worn out. The old bladder works just like new. I am super happy I bought this because I think it just saved me a lot of money and maybe my mistake might help someone else. Anyway, I like the design of this one better. The bite valve and the top bag closure are the best I have come across. The bladder itself seems to be quality and I love that it holds 3 liters. I trail run and the top slide of my other bladder has almost slipped off sideways while wearing the vest it came with. If it had, all of my water would have spilled out and I would have been in trouble. It was the middle of summer and I was 10 very difficult miles from the next water source. I tell you that story because it was kinda scary and to point out that I have never had that issue with this bladder. ... show more

  • Good because it’s reversible.
Style: 3 Liter
This water bladder is reversible, which makes cleaning the inevitable mold much easier. Note that there are two “settings” on it, depending on how you set it up. On the lower setting, it holds only 2.5 liters; on the higher it holds 3.0 liters. I didn’t realize this initially and ran out of water on a few hikes. ... show more

  • Interesting design
Style: 2 Liter
I guess the baffle is good for reducing sloshing (not sure how much an issue this would be) and for forcing bladder to maintain a flatter profile. Maintains the hydrapak build quailty.

  • Durable and easy to clean
Style: 3 Liter
What I like about this bladder is the fact that the attachment to your bag is hard plastic and not a part of the bladder itself. Previous bladders ripped over time, but I don't see how this will ever break with normal use. Also it's easy to clean since you can flip it inside out. I thought it was annoying to fill the water since you have to slide the plastic all the way off but I got used to it really fast. I think it's definitely worth the purchase. ... show more

  • Almost perfect
Style: 2 Liter
I've used the 2l reservoir on about 5 distance runs now and really like it. The only major issue I have with it is the opening on top where you can secure it to your gear is too small. It comes with a slide on clip thing but 1) it's weak and bends and 2) it slides off when running. I have to use the clip for it to work with my ultimate direction vest because the strap button won't fit through the opening. I dont feel like the strap and button are over sized. Because the clip slides off the vest strap, I have to use sports tape to secure it. Other than the hassle of having to go this extra step, it's a problem for getting refills too. I have to cut the tape off, take everything apart, refill, put it back together, then tape it again. I'm eventually going to buy a different brand due to this. ... show more

  • Mixed Review
Style: 3 Liter
I agree with most reviews that getting the channel reattached is difficult. And I actually find it almost more difficult to detach the channel when turning it inside out. If you have arthritic hands I don't think you'd be able to do it. My husband had problems with both. In fact he gave up when it came to reattaching the channel. We were going to hike several days so he just put the reservoirs into the refrigerator to keep from draining the water out over night. Having said all this I do like the ability to turn the bag inside out in order to dry it out when we put the bags back into storage. I always was concerned with old Camel back bag and whether there was possible mold growing in it. The baffle is a good idea. I just think it needs work! Also the red tag that has been attached that says where to open - it would be nice if that was a more permanent feature as it fell off almost immediately. I'm afraid if I don't use the bag for another year that I might not remember how to open the bag. Even with the tag it still took me a while to figure out how to open the bag. I had to go back to the video to watch how the bag was opened. With further work on the design I could easily give this bag a 5 star. ... show more
