Face it. It wasn’t made in Japan by a living treasure craftsman carefully folding each layer of metal and meticulously crafting each blade. It was never in Japan. You don’t get all that for $22. I’ve seen Lithuania in the literature but the icing on the cake is the label on the cellophane wrapper the says “Made in China”. We live in a world of deceit after all. But, I love the knife. I love the shape. I love the sharp edge that I can easily redress as needed. I love the weight. This knife isn’t for pansies. It gets the job done. Don’t buy it if you are a pansy

I ended up returned it. It’s balanced and with a decent blade, but it’s not so sharp, expected something sharper like other knife if have.

I was a bit doubtful about buying an economy knife...but I am glad I did. It came out of the box very sharp and passed paper cutting test easily. I am not a professional chef and it is comfortable enough. The hole allows for a safe grip while applying decent force. I enjoying using it around the kitchen. The sheath looks cheap but then again, it is an inexpensive knife. Does protect the blade and the owner from accidental cuts though. Overall, happy with the purchase. Thank you.
