  • What a Beauty!
The beauty arrived. A storm was coming the next day. Unboxed it and parts were missing [instruction, lever grips and nuts and bolts were missing]. Never fear. I called the seller and even though they were in the middle of their snow storm and a holiday looming, we received the packet in 3 days. Our snow storm fizzled, TG. The seller, Brand New Engines, Scott did everything to accommodate and get the missing packet to us. Once assembled snowblower performed exactly as it should, smooth and easy. • Delivered with damaged and missing parts.
I am sure this snowblower is a nice piece of equipment. It is very heavy but self propelled. We have a very long slopey driveway in the mountains that puts off delivery drivers and visitors. Be prepared to unbox and get it going right away if it cannot be delivered to your door. (1) Unfortunately, it was missing a gas filter cap, so the gas was splashing out all the way to the house. Our garage also now has sharp gas fumes as there is no cap. I had to order one last evening from Amazon for an additional $18 because customer service has not replied to my message. (2) There was a deep and very sharp cut in the aluminum handle where it was tied down by a plastic tie strap for shipping. Not a deal breaker, but disappointing and slightly worse than just cosmetic as it is sharp and ragged to the touch. We'll need to file it down a bit and cover with paint or duct tape. Even a bit of padding under the tie strap would've avoided this damage. (3) Finally, one lever on top was bent completely at a 45 degree angle where as it should have been straight. There are rubber or plastic grips that should slide onto those levers, but it will need to be straightened. It is fairly sturdy metal, so bending it back will take the right tools and some strength. Again, not a deal breaker, but very disappointing considering we spent in excess of $1400 for this snowblower. I sent the seller a message through Amazon regarding these issues and have yet to hear back. For a very expensive snowblower, I would like better customer service response or for it to arrive in better condition. We have yet to use it following a storm, but that will be delayed until we get a gas cap and repair the lever. I would absolutely recommend purchasing a service warranty. We did do this for reasonable $$, but I'm waiting to file a claim until after we see if customer service replies to us and/or we can repair these minor issues ourselves. With the exception of the missing gas filter cap, it should still run and perform as advertised. ... show more

  • Took the plunge
The media could not be loaded. I finally decided to take the plunge and get a much-needed snowblower. I live in a very rural area and have a 600 ft gravel driveway that I'm going to try and use this snowthrower. The snowthrower came in a nice wood/cardboard box and was mostly assembled! Required very little assembly which was also nice ! Also came with oil already in crankcase. I would like to also mention that this seller was very responsive to a couple questions I had immediately after I hit the purchase button. They replied very promptly and were very professional and friendly which is not always the case and very nice to see. Now I'm just waiting for the snow storms to hit and try this Beast out !! ** Update ; Well it's not the testing I'm waiting for .. but we got 5-6 inches of snow and tried it out on gravel driveway and grass .. which is what I'll be doing with mine. Rural , top of mountain life .. 2-3 ft is the norm, drifting to 4-5 ft .. But we got a few inches no big deal but of course like a kid on Christmas morning I had to get out there and give it a try just to see what I can expect? Since I will be using my snowblower exclusively on gravel primarily occasionally grass as in the video above but I also have my scraper blade raised approximately one inch ! Not what you'd want to do if you were using yours on a asphalt or concrete surface you would want it much much lower probably a quarter of an inch.. So far it's worked like a champ on the gravel and the grass I will be updating the front skids to a heavier longer set but so far loving it looking forward to the heavy duty work in the near future !! ... show more

  • Even though the shipping was a mess!
this product was in great shape for being at a warehouse for an extra week and probably being moved a couple dozen times while it was being shipped the pallet, and safety cradle were completely cracked but the cargo was not even scratched, the Husqvarna ST227 Snowblower, has been great since i bought it though its been a rather easy warm winter with snow i sure as the years pass this product will prove its worth its worked in slushy conditions, freezing rain, snowing for this first season looking forward to many more years with this product.no complaints it's been great. ... show more

  • A workhorse
I ordered this in the middle of the 2022/ 23 winter season to be delivered to me in the Sierra Nevada mountains of California. It took some coaxing and reassuring phone talk to the freight driver to get him to even come up and drop it in my knee high snowed-in driveway. After I hand shoveled a little circle in honest 30 to 36 inches of layered snow. The next morning it was about 20 degrees when I set to cutting the box away and assembling it. Thankfully it came mostly assembled from the factory, so it was a matter of final put together, oil in the engine and gas in the tank. The electric starter is 115VAC, so no go for me as the closest outlet was 300 feet away. Pulled the cord twice and varoom! it started up second pull. I gave it a minute or two to warm up, then pushed it into snow taller than the machine's curved face. I definitely had to use all of its horses, but it never burped, bucked or showed any signs of not going there. Several hours later I could finally get to my 4X4 500 feet away and head out for the first time in two weeks. I have no complaints at all with this machine. ... show more
