Hush is the real deal. My artist says he does 3 hours worth of work in 2 hours when I use this gel. He can pull longer lines without me twitching, he can do more detail in sensitive areas and he is just able to work better when he doesn't have to worry about hurting me. Did I mention I didn't feel a thing, seriously I didn't even get sore until the next day. The next day my entire leg swelled up and started throbbing, but the pain was nothing like if I hadn't used Hush gel. This stuff really works for a 2 or 3 hour tattoo, I definitely suggest trying it out.

I have been getting tattooed for over 25 years and have always dealt with the pain that comes with the different area of the body just fine going for several hours at a time in the chair. I went a few months ago to get more work on my back and as soon as the needle hit my back the first time the intensity of the pain was beyond what I ever felt before. I laid there bearing it but the artist could tell how I was feeling. After an hour she called an end to it because she was worried about something happening. Although I would have laid there until I dies, you know manly pride and all, but I was thankful she halted the session. She told me about this product so I a bottle for my next session. WOW, what a difference! I was nervous waiting for her to start but as soon as she did I was so relieved. The only thing I felt was the pressure of her hand on my back. After a few hours I did start experiencing the normal sensations one would experience with getting a tattoo on the back and ribs but it was still something that could be tolerated. Great product, would recommend to anyone getting work done 100%!

The gel works well within reason. I will say that I got a couple of tattoos before using a numbing gel in order to know what it feels like to get tattooed with a numbing gel. There is a difference in how much the tattoo hurts when using this gel. It reduces how much it hurts, but you will still feel the pain from the needle. I would say that the "numbing" feeling lasts about 3 may be 4 hours. Pros: The cost. For the price you are getting a 4 ounce bottle. That's quite a bit when compared to others sold on amazon. It does help with the pain while getting tattooed to a certain extent. It's easy to apply. All you do is spread it in the area you want numbed and wait about 40 - 60 minutes. Cons: Because this is a gel and not a cream, it does require some clean up before tattooing. It's sticky and requires some scrubbing to come off. This gel does not completely numb the area. You will feel some discomfort when being tattooed, it will just be more tolerable. At least this was my experience. The smell. The gel has a strong eucalyptus or menthol smell. It's not terrible, but definitely not that enjoyable when it's on your body as you wait for it to take effect. Overall, I can definitely recommend this product. I've got multiple tattoos using this gel and I can say that it helps reduce the pain and helps me get through long tattoo sessions. So far I have purchased 2 bottles of this gel.

Great customer service from this seller! Original product was going our of date the next month. The seller reached out to me and shipped out a new bottle that is good until 2025. Seller added another product in the box as well. My 5 stars is for that! My daughter has used this product before for her first tattoo which was a bit large and in a sensitive area. She had so much pain we stopped the tattoo half way through and rescheduled and used the Hush product. It definitely helped for her to finish the process. This is a tattoo - and this product does not take away all the pain. That would be unrealistic. Expect the process to be painful, even with this product. My daughter's second tattoo, she used this product once again. Yes, it helped relieve some of the pain, but since it is a tattoo, there was still pain. She states that she felt it lasted (the lessening of pain) about half way through her session, which was about 30 minutes. That was a great start! Go in with realistic expectations about the tattoo process. Tattoos hurt- no mater what. I have them too! But if you want to lessen the pain, at least for a while, give it a shot.

Did all the recommendations. Applied 2 hours and a half before my appointment. I applied a really thick coat and wrapped with plastic. After 1 hour of application I still felt everything, so I added more. Once in the studio I didn’t feel the touch of my fingers so I thought it worked. Unwrapped the plastic and the tattoo artist wiped everything. He said the consistency was really sticky and not good. He had a hard time removing it. He started the tattoo and it worked for the first 5 minutes. The next 45min I felt EVERYTHING. The one good thing is that it didn’t make the skin harder and the tattoo guy said it did not interfere with his job. BUT it didn’t work. Maybe for waxing or piercing it would work which is fast, but will never buy this product again! :( I suffer from fibromyalgia so my pain resistance is not good and I thought this would help… well it didn’t lol. I suggest not wasting your money, because it’s very expensive.

I will never get tattooed again without this stuff. The line work on my belly tattoo sucked, so I invested in this stuff for the shading and so far I've been sitting for an hour with no pain in some spots and very little in others. It definitely took the edge off of a rough area. I left the cream on for 90 mins before. UPDATE TO MY PREVIOUS IGNORANCE: OUUUUUUUCH! I'm not sure what the deal is here, but I just used this stuff for the first time on a big belly piece. It does numb the pain, but now after the session I am laying in bed with an ice pack on my stomach writhing. When the body goes through physical stress, it naturally tends to numb things up a bit on its own. When you put numbing products that take away pain (temporarily) on the site of a tattoo, IT DOESN'T FIX THE PROBLEM, ONLY DELAYS THE INEVITABLE. I'm feeling all four hours of my belly session right now and lemme tell ya, it ain't it. I'd have rather sucked it up and sat like I did for both full sleeves and my entire back.
