    • Works BEAUTIFULLY( ..once you get the technique)
Size: One Size Color: Orange and Black
Haven't hunted for 35 years and NEVER gut my own deer due to allergies when hunting as a teenager. Got the butt-out in hopes of making the field dressing process easier and it did not disappoint. Got 3 deer this year... the first proved that there is a learning curve but the second and third were a breeze! I even field dressed my buddies deer because he has a "weak stomach" but after watching how easy this set makes it, he is ready to dress his own deer next year. Watch a video showing you how to properly use it and it will be your favorite tool in the bag! Buy this product! ... show more

    • This should be in your field dressing pack
Size: One Size Color: Orange and Black
This set up is worth it. I was able to use the blade on 2 deer. when I tried to use it on the third deer I found that the blade was too dull. However, it is very easy to swap out the blade and it uses standard box-cutter type blades, just buy a pack of 10 or so. I'd recommend just having a fresh blade in the holder before you hunt and you wont have a problem. The Butt-out saves time as well. Some people just insert the butt-out, twist a few times and pull everything out (and not tie it off like some of the videos show). I like the fact of not having to split the pelvic bone when not needed ... show more

    • Easy to use and made cleaning better
Size: One Size Color: Orange and Black
This is a great product. It made cleaning a deer so much faster and easier. No more cutting the pelvic bone and cutting out the intestines.

    • Works amazing
Size: One Size Color: Orange and Black
Bought this last year and finally got to try it out this season. Talk about cut your time in half, functions perfectly and is a great value. The size is acceptable and the hunter orange helps not loose it in the field

    • These Tools Work Well
Size: One Size Color: Orange and Black
I used both of the tools this weekend to field dress two deer. The butt-out device worked exactly as advertised, and it saved the hassle of carefully cutting around the anus. My father and uncle were surprised by its efficacy. The gutting tool is great for very quickly and precisely opening the deer belly without danger of over penetration. Of course, a sharp knife would do the job of both of these tools. But these tools are lightweight, they store easily, and they make the dressing process go more smoothly. I take care of my tools, and I expect to be able to use these for decades, with occasional changes of the razor blade in the gutting tool. I highly recommend this kit. ... show more

    • Great Buy
Size: One Size Color: Orange and Black
I've been using the Hunter Specialties "Butt Out" for several years now and so for me this was a spare. What I was really after was the gut hook included in this set and it has not disappointed. The simplistic design and the fact that you can load a regular utility blade into it makes it a perfect choice for both a budget friendly and functional option. I change out blades between deer and I am always ready to a go with a gut hook ready to meet its full potential. If you are tired of dulling blades and trying to sharpen gut hooks this is for you. ... show more
