This frame comes with all the nuts and bolts blister packed and labeled, along with a small wrench and a hex wrench to tighten everything. The blister pack is even scored in back on the cardboard, to make getting the parts out easier. Each piece has a sticker on it to label it, that corresponds with the 1 page assembly instruction sheet. It took 2 of us about 6 minutes to put the whole thing together. I used a socket wrench just to speed things up a bit. A great feature is that the frame folds in the middle, which makes it super-easy to maneuver it in and out of rooms with tight clearance around the door. Please note that you will want to buy a non-slip mat, or some of the "mattress clips", as your mattress will slide VERY easily on top of the metal rails of this bed. We ultimately ended up returning this one because the 18" height was too difficult for our elderly parent to manage, but in the lower sizes I would highly recommend this bed frame, especially for a kid's room or a rental property. ... show more

So I am not used to building things at all but I was able to put this together by myself in about an hour cause I didn’t know what I was doing. Someone who does could probably do this in twenty minutes. It comes in a medium long skinny box. The pieces are clearly labeled. The directions are pictures only which was a little confusing for me but I figured it out. There is one little problem when connecting top and bottom pieces- I think it was pieces 6 and 7. I already read that if the screws don’t line up, to switch them. Which I did and then I reread another comment that said to lay them out flat and the shorter one goes to connect the rounded corner pieces and the longer one connects the square shaped corner pieces. Something like that. Well at first the holes weren’t lining up but then I finally got them to work. Also you have to screw with both the Allen wrench and the other wrench one in each hand to tighten these screws, which was kinda tedious. Either way. It worked in the end. It seems structurally sound and it looks great. I can’t wait to utilize the storage space underneath!! I put my old mattress on it, ditching my box spring, and it seems fine- however I have ordered a new mattress since this one is soooo old and crappy. Either way, the bedframe is nice. So easy to assemble. For some reason my king size bed feels so much more firm. Don’t know if it’s all those bars that gives it such sturdy , firm feel now. We had a Ashley bed set / frame and it just never felt right , our bed was low and eventually broke. Our mattress feels so much better with this bed frame. Very pleased indeed ... show more

Packaged well and directions are easy to read. Screws and bolts fit and not difficult to go into holes. I’m a 76 yr old woman and I had it all put together in 45 minutes. Vice grips and an Allen wrench. Holds up to 3000 lbs and no squeaks!

Our daughter needed her bed lifted for storage beneath. This bed frame was perfect. It is extremely well made and strong. It took me a while to assemble, but I'm use to Ikea and other items. Instructions and parts were simple, straight forward, and well organized. Everything fit perfectly. I believe the reviews saying poor manufacturing are totally wrong in my case. I hope others followed instructions. We used bed lifts on her old frame but they kept falling off. This was a perfect solution. ... show more
