  • Way complicated to use

Best for *very* ROM savy users. I would not recommend for those who need simplicity

  • Controls are a mess and the SD Card size isn't what's advertised.
Color: Black
These things are junk. Controls are horrible. It'll take a few tries to find one of these devices that you'll like, but this one probably won't be it. Be prepared to learn how to set this thing up yourself and put your own card in it. The SD card they come with is not the real size, and is such cheap quality, you'll be lucky if you get a couple weeks use out of it. ... show more

  • Mixed Experience with a Promising Handheld
Color: White
I have mixed feelings about this handheld gaming device. On the bright side, the selection of games is fantastic — it includes nearly all the classics with very few repeats. The emulators run smoothly for most titles, though a few are understandably glitchy. The screen size is great for gaming, and the battery life is decent; I can play for a few hours without needing to charge, though it’s nothing extraordinary. It even comes with a cover, which is a nice bonus. However, the hardware leaves a lot to be desired. The build feels plasticky and somewhat fragile. The button layout isn't very ergonomic and gets uncomfortable during long sessions — it seems like they tried to mimic another form factor but didn’t quite get it right. Also, it's worth noting that the instructions specifically say not to power off using the side button to avoid data corruption — you have to shut it down through the software menu. The biggest downside for me is the screen flickering. It’s really noticeable and distracting. Restarting the device helps a little, but the flicker always comes back and makes longer play sessions frustrating. I’ve seen that others have reported this issue too. Honestly, if it weren’t for that flickering, this handheld would be close to perfect for what I need. ... show more

  • There are much better options out there, especially at this price point.
Color: White
The media could not be loaded. I will just start by saying that this is a pretty rough machine. I will say that my review of this is significantly altered by having used both the Miyoo Mini and Flip in the past. When I first unboxed it, it feels very light, and plasticky. Border-lining the feeling of it being a cheap product. Turning it on for the first time immediately had me have to take off two stars. The screen has a pretty obnoxious flicker to it, and that just runs system wide through every single game. After playing it for a little over an hour, it had given me a headache. It just causes a lot of eye fatigue. The next thing I noticed, as you may be able to see this in the video as well, is that several of the libraries are started with a number instead of it being an alphabetical order. So there’s no way for you to even find a title in the catalog without going through and looking at every game. There are some libraries that are organized though. Overall, the UI is pretty rough. It is randomly laggy but for the most part stable. There are various button combinations to actually navigate through the UI in the game mode, which is a little complicated and not straightforward, I attached a picture of the controls. The final star I took off is due to the lack of a hibernate mode. Life happens, and I need to be able to sit down a device in the middle of gameplay every once in a while. It would be nice to be able to do that as some of this products competitors allow you to do, but instead, you need to go through the menu, save your game, close out of the game, and then power down the device from the menus. The instruction manual discourages the use of the power button. Ultimately at the $80-$90 price point, there are significantly better options out there. There are options with significantly larger community following to help with the devices. Now I need to go take a Tylenol for this headache. ... show more

  • Cool Gaming System
Color: White
I got this for my 13 year old daughter. She has really enjoyed this gaming device so far! She loves the wide array of games on it. It’s got 45 built-in games, has a 4 inch screen, a 3,800 megahertz battery, 256 GB of RAM, a headphone jack, and it has a type C adapter. The battery lasts for up to ten hours on a single charge. This adapter on the device can be used to be connected to large screens like a television, projecting device, etc. The device comes with a carrying case and a charging cable. The screen is made from tempered glass & a nice bonus is that it has scratch/drop protection. The price on this device is a tad bit steep, but it is a really good working system. ... show more
