    • Good HUD for the price
I have had this HUD unit for a week and used during hours of darkness and in the day. This is installed in my 2022 BMW X3. Installation: Was easy to install and took only 10 minutes to plug in to my car's OBD and to apply the windshield film. HUD Set up: I found the written directions confusing on how to make adjustment in the settings menu so I used YouTube to learn. Once I learned, I was able to understand and use the written table on selecting the correct options in the set-up menu. DISPLAYS: I mainly wanted this to display my speed but some of the other display options are good. SPEED display was accurate on my car without having to go into the setting and adjust. FUEL CONSUMPTION: I disabled this in the settings because it is only in metric. MULTI-FUNCTION: I have this set to my trip distance. There is an issue with this selection if you have a car that has engine turn off when you are stopped at a stop light. Once the engine turns off the HUD unit will turn off after a few seconds as well. Once I press on the gas and the engine turns back on the HUD turns back on and the trip distance is reset. There is an option in the settings to prevent the HUD auto turn off to prevent this, but you have to manually turn on and off the HUD unit. WATER TEMP: You can set this to either Fahrenheit or Celsius. The HUD has an auto bright/dim depending on the time of day. In hours of daylight the display is brighter and hours of darkness the display is dimmer. This can also be manually adjusted in the settings. I have found that my unit is a little too bright at night. I also noticed on my car, the HUD unit LED display reflects on my dashboard that cause a little reflection onto the windshield. Not enough to cause a vision issue but I wanted to mention. I saw on another review, the person put a something on the sides of the HUD to prevent the light from reflecting onto the dashboard. I may try this with a little electrical tape along the sides. AUDIBLE ALERTS: This unit gives audible alerts for high RPMS and Speed. I had to increase the alert for RPM to "61" which is 6001 RPM. The default setting for speed is 150 KMH, which is 93.2 MPH, so I did not have to adjust. PROS: Easy install/set up (once you figure out how to navigate in the settings menu); Great price; HUD is information is accurate (at least for my car). CONS: Slight reflection from the LEDs on dashboard; some of the display information cannot be turned off, the only one is the fuel consumption; Auto turn off/on is good but for cars that have their engines turn on when stopped at a light the HUD will turn off and reset the distance traveled; instruction book is confusing in regard to making adjustments in the setting menu. Overall, for what I paid, I'm happy with this. I'm sure there are better HUD units that are more expensive. For me, this was the best option for the low price. ... show more

This is a nice unit. Large, easy to read display projected on the windshield. Bright enough even to see it in the middle of the day (if you use the included reflector). My only complaint is that if you make any adjustments like changing what you want it to display or anything else and then, for whatever reason, you have to unplug it, when you plug it back in, it reverts back to the default settings. Then you have to re-adjust what you had previously changed. That’s why I only gave it 4 stars, otherwise I would give it 5 stars. ... show more

Works great! The only thing I would change would be to change the fuel usage to Miles per Gallon instead of Liters per 100KM.

Plugged it into my 2023 Ram 1500 and it works perfect. Instructions are a little suspect but workable. Auto dimming works well and the unit is working as intended. Good buy for adding HUD to your ODB2 equipped car.

I really like this unit. Clear, powerful LEDs make the lettering very visible, even in full daylight. I the menus are easy to operate, and there are some options as to what can be displayed. I've only had a few minor disappointments: 1. There are three full digits for the "Full Consumption" indicator, so it could display up to 99.9L/100km, but it caps at 19.9 for no good reason. Note that this is the *immediate* full consumption as read by over OBD2, it updates every second; it is not a "average over the last 10km" or so, so when you get up in 1st at a red light, it goes to 19.9 and stays there for like 4-5 seconds. There's no reason the firmware couldn't go above 19.9 since the "88.8" LED lights are all there. 2. Although there is a setting to manually adjust for a discrepancy between the actual fuel consumption and the one that's displayed, it doesn't go nearly high enough. If reset my car's counter and drive 5km on a flat road at a constant speed, I get an accurate reading from the car itself (8.0L/km), but even maxing out the "adjustment factor" on the unit, the HUD will not display more than 5.6L/100km. Disappointing. 3. There's light leaking out on all sides of this unit, which is especially annoying for the driver at night, as you don't only see the desired visual on the windshield, you also have these bright lights in your eyes lower, on the top of the dashboard. And anyone standing outside can see this bright display as well. My solution was to build a custom shade visor "box", see pictures. Would be great if the unit shipped with one. ... show more
