Needed another one of these for down in the geerage - adding an in-wall 120v timer alongside a GFCI. First off - this items hard to find in this style. Box stores r always out of em or simply dont even carry the style. IF u have commercial sized steel wall boxes this is a neccessary item all should carry. SO I'm glad I found it here. The only issue with these is due to the device mounting. its set thru the cover meaning the device themselves need to b secured to it prior to install to the box. SO - u wait til u have it in order to wire the devices afterwards OR you're in for time of un-wiring to redo. Other than that - all set - devices fit well within the openings and the mounting holes lineup to any brands similar sized work boxes. Good product here. ... show more

    • Well made, install difficult
Plate is well made, heavy steel. Installation is time consuming but that is a result of the box size, not a fault of this cover. Installing two GFCI's requires: 1) breaking off the tabs on the GFCI's to fit the cover 2) wiring at least one of them up before installing in the plate, then 3) installing the wired GFCI into the plate with 2 screws. You can't access the terminal screws (or pressure plate screws) of a 20A GFCI one installed on the plate. If you have a choice, you are better to go with one GFCI per box, but in my situation that wasn't a good option. ... show more

Make sure to trim the metal mounting straps all the way to the wide hole with metal scissors. This is the one you will use to attach it to screw and nut.

This comes with all the hardware to install 2 decora outlets in one 4 inch metal box. I can't find these anywhere at the local hardware stores, as they only are carrying the single outlet covers.
