So if you’re tech savvy enough to configure a router then you should be good. One tip is, go into the network selection and click manual and then manually select the network your SIM card is on. Bought this to use on a trip to Ireland. We had some trouble initially getting the sim card activated...its not a fault of this device... just something to consider. I bought a standard Tesco phone sim card, but couldn't activate it without help from customer service because it wasn't being used in a cell phone. I had downloaded the Huawei smart home app ahead of time on my cell. You can receive SMS via this device on the app. Using my phone and the free wifi at a hotel, I was able to chat with Tesco support online and they sent a confirmation code via SMS to the device. Customer support was then able to activate/top up the sim card for me. After that, the device worked great. There were four of us and we could all be on wifi at the same time. Battery life was good. Just make sure if you are using it on a trip that you download and learn how to use the smart home app before you go. ... show more

I was able to install it, but when I need it, it won’t broadcast Wi-Fi, so I can’t connect to it. I’ve tried several troubleshooting options, nothing has worked.
