  • Punches above its price range - a true sleeper
Number of Items: 1
This chair is a sleeper. The price is low. The manufacturer is best known for monitor arms and adjustable desks. It has very little media out there aside from its Amazon page, which I'm glad to see filling up with reviews. I have a lot of things I like about this chair, and a couple of things I don't. The first in the pile of good things is the adjustability of this chair. The headrest can be moved up and down, and the angle can be tilted up and down independently. The range on the headrest tilt is good, and it's very comfortable. The only thing I'd ding it for is that as you recline, if your head is up against the headrest and the headrest is tilted up, it might slip up a notch. Not a big deal, because adjusting the headrest is easy, and it doesn't fly off of the chair like some headrests will. Moving past the headrest is the cushion itself. It's walking the line between medium-firm and firm, and has softened up with use. It's not collapsing at all, just becoming more of a butt-cradle instead of a brand new sofa cushion. If it does collapse over time, I'll update my review. For reference, I weigh 170 lbs. There's a depth adjustment lever that lets you slide the seat back and forth on the frame, which is a huge plus for those of us with long legs. It's also not something that's seen all that often in the $120-150 price range. The recline is, well, it reclines. Nothing much to say there. The pre-set angles are comfortable. The seat's up-down adjustment is more than you find in a lot of chairs at this price range by a couple of inches. Doesn't sound like much, but when your desk is literally built into a wall and the height can't be changed, that extra couple of inches takes it from uncomfortable to ergonomic really quickly. The chair itself feels sturdy, with two exceptions. The big exception is the armrests. Others have raved about them at length; 6D at this price range is nuts. I love the flexibility. Straight out for typing, angled slightly towards me and tilted up for holding a game controller, angled more sharply towards me and tilted more up for books and e-readers, no question they're great. My issue is that there is some side-to-side play in them. Not nearly as much as the typical $120 chair, but it's there, and it can be annoying. One final note on the armrests: they're firm, but they are not bricks. They will shape around your elbows just enough to be comfortable. My only other item on the wish list would be adjustable depth on the lumbar support. You can adjust it up and down, but not in and out. This creates a situation for me where sometimes it's perfect, and sometimes I can barely feel it. Adjustable depth would solve that for me. When I'm sitting in a way that catches all of it, it's nice, firm support. It's diffuse enough that it's not like leaning back into a knife blade, which is another common problem for chairs in this price range. The assembly experience...eh? There are a lot of pieces and a lot of steps, but it's not hard at all. Took me half an hour. I mean, congratulations, you bought a budget-tier chair? The biggest pros for this chair are comfort and the sheer number of adjustments you can make to make it your own. The biggest cons are the wobbly armrests, and I do plan to keep an eye (or rather, a butt) on the seat over the next few months to see if it goes from comfy to collapsing. Oh, one more pro: the price. I bought this chair for $100 on Prime Day. It tends to sit between $120 and $130 after a manufacturer coupon, and I've seen it as high as $150. At $100, it's a no-brainer. At $120, it's a no-brainer. At $150, it's kind of in a sweet spot for Amazon office chairs. There are less-expensive chairs that could best be classified as "fine" for plenty of people, but lack almost all of the customization options and cut more corners in the design. There are chairs in the $200-250 range that might have better build quality, adjustable lumbar depth or a simpler assembly experience, but they might be lacking seat depth adjustments or an adjustable headrest, and they just will not have 6D armrests, period. And for a lot of people, $200+ for a desk chair isn't necessarily the best use of money. The features of HUANUO's 6D chair are typically found in the $300+ range, and to have those features available for half the price (often less) is a pretty exceptional deal. As long as that cushion holds out, this chair is going to cover my needs for a long time. Yeah, it's got a couple of issues, but it has so many other features that bat above its price range, and it does them so well that I'd recommend this chair to anyone who needs 8-hour comfort and doesn't need to spend $400 on a used 30-year-old chair. ... show more

  • Smooth and Premium
Number of Items: 1
I just finished putting this chair together, so this isn't a long-term review of its durability—just my first impressions. Assembly was straightforward and easy, and the chair feels very solid and well-built. The chrome base and accents give it a premium look, and the overall build quality is impressive. The features are what really make this chair stand out. It includes 6D armrests, a 3D headrest, a four-position locking recline, and my favorite feature—the sliding seat. I didn't realize how useful that would be until I tried it. Even though it doesn't have a 2D adjustable lumbar support, the sliding seat helps you find a comfortable position, and every adjustment is incredibly smooth. The upgraded rollerblade-style wheels glide effortlessly, and all of the chair's adjustments operate smoothly and feel high quality. Time will tell how well it holds up, but based on my first impressions, I'm very happy with this purchase and hope the durability matches the excellent design and comfort. ... show more

  • It's a chair that I like so far!
Number of Items: 1
This chair is honestly solid for the price I got it for. I find it's much more comfortable than the SecretLab chair I was previously using (Honestly will never go back to SL) The 6D armrests do take some time to adjust to. There is no locking them into a position you like, I often find myself knocking them out of position more often than not. The only locking part is the height adjustment for them. My only major complaint is that the lumbar adjustor is garbage. It does not stay locked in position, at least on my chair. I have it positioned at the highest point and almost everytime I lean back against it, I feel and hear it click down to lower positions which is rather annoying. Sometimes I can get it to stay though. The seat depth adjustment is a winner for this chair though. I love that feature so much. I'm willing to put up with the wonky lumbar adjustor just for this feature. Overall, I really like this chair. I'm very satisfied with it and hope to use it for a while til I find one I absolutely love. I'm just happy to get out of my uncomfortable SL chair which I think was causing some lower back pain (I don't have those pains when using this chair!) The materials seem of decent quality; I don't really have any complaints there. It's comfortable to sit in and does its job as an office chair :) ... show more

  • Comfortable!
Number of Items: 1
This desk chair is incredibly comfortable! I especially love the seat depth adjustment, lumbar support, and the 6D armrests (which makes it easy to find the perfect position for working throughout the day). It seems very sturdy and well built. I did have an issue when I was putting it together. One of the caster wheels was missing the retaining clip. It wouldn't lock into the chair base. I contacted the seller, and shockingly, they responded within an hour and resolved the issue immediately. That level of customer service is RARE. I'm very happy with both the chair and the excellent support from the seller. ... show more

  • worthwhile chair

So far, great chair at a good price. I can sit in it for hours comfortably, very adjustable, however if you are quite short like me (150cm) or have a short torso the headrest doesnt quite go low enough without a cushion

  • 6D armrests rock!!
Number of Items: 1
I'm loving this chair so far! Is very comfortable and the 6D armrests are great! I work from home on the computer and suffer from pain in my wrist and arms, and the armrests' flexibility and adjustments have been a godsend! Also, the seat is very comfortable, and the chair has other adjustments to provide more comfort! I love this chair and will buy another one (if I can get a discount!) ... show more

  • Good chair but arms are too high for shorter people
Number of Items: 1
This chair is a good budget chair, with many features found on more expensive models. Adjustable lumbar support, seat depth as well as height, reclining, multi adjustable arms and headrest. The wheels are very good quality and roll smoothly. It is comfortable for sitting longer periods of time. The only thing that wasn’t right for me was the arm height. Even on the lowest setting, the arms are too high for me (I am 5’5” and have a short torso). So I had to remove them to use the chair without them getting in the way. It still works very well and is comfortable without them. ... show more
