This is a paint brush set that makes me feel like a professional. The sturdy cloth case unfolds and rolls out to expose all 23 brushes, including the palette knife. To keep the case secure, there is a "shoe string" rope that ties closed. I know it's not as professional, but I would much rather have had a Velcro piece to keep it closed. These came in just in time as I had a college art project due soon and what better time to use my new paint brushes. What I found above average was how soft the bristles were and without shedding. No matter how many times I cleaned the bristles in water to create using a new color, the brush held its own. I really like the different sizes and thicknesses at my disposal as these come highly recommended!

What a fabulous stocking stuffer for the artist in your family. These brushes or great quality and had soft flexible bristles as well as well made handles. The case that it comes in is flexible but also secure enough to hold all the brushes in place. I I'm not personally a expert artist, however for someone getting started or even for your children to learn how different brushes create different strokes, this is a wonderful set and as I said a great gift to put in a stocking for Christmas morning.

21 resilient and soft assorted brushes, plus a nice looking rolled case with a hood to protect the brushes, a palette knife and a flat wash brush. The hairs don't come out all over your work , which is hugely important. Over time I've come to actually prefer the newer absorbent synthetic brushes for their durability and behavior on the paper/canvas. They last longer, have better spring and the moths don't bother them. The set has varied sizes of flats, filberts, and rounds as well as 2 fans and 1 liner brush. It's nice to own 1 or 2 special purpose natural hair brushes, but in practice the brushes in this kind of set are often better - they do what you want them to and relieve you of trying to work despite being tied up in knots about your art supplies.

This set comes in a nice canvas case, handy for plein air painters. There's a good selection of brush sizes and shapes plus a bonus wash brush and pallet knife. They're a little soft for working with stiffer oils or acrylics, but they should be fine for watercolor or other thin mediums. They are not true professional quality, but they're perfectly fine for all but the most exacting work and at this price point they're a steal.
