The pens are filled with brilliant color and bleed and blend exactly as they should. I have been creating art for years with the best brands for professional artists in the world. I never use student products, even in my sketch books because I can't trust them to be lightfast or to work as a quality product would. The results you get vary greatly and can mislead the development of good habits. This is the best product in it's class. No ink is permanent or lightfast. Only pigment based products are. Never the less, I had a friend suggest I try them for some detail work on a sketch. I had heard about another brand of watercolor "Clean Brush Pens," and thought they were misleading in many ways and they are. They are also way, way over priced. These pens however, are Exactly what they say they are at a Very Low Price Point and LOADED with Legitimate Extras. They should have taken the lead in the art community long ago. The pens are watercolor like inks, and say so. No misdirects with this brand. The key is that they actually work like watercolor. And you can learn techniques and create pieces the correct way, using a brush pen...... Their instructional videos are great! You only have to fill the included set of 4 water brushes and you can take them anywhere and work confidently at sketches and designs. You do receive a pad of sketched out pieces on good quality paper and videos of the correct way to use the pen. And, they do tell you that like any other skill, you need to practice....even seasoned artists. But practicing with these is Fun! They will help you develop and eye for detail as well as creating lovely washes. You should be very, very happy with this set and this company! ... show more

The pigments and quality of the product are great. The pens are easy to use and the colors blend well. I have also purchased the other watercolor products they sell here on Amazon.

Really good watercolor markers. Can be used for many watercolor techniques. Good quality, there is a sketchbook with a contour inside. There is training. I enjoyed them very much. Highly recommend

I was surprised at how easy these were to manipulate as you run the brush down the paper. Lines were kept smooth and overall just great tools. Vibrant colors.

Colors are vibrant, and blend well, the instructions are easy to follow. Icriticisms I wish there was a color swatch sheet and while the packaging is nice and well put together it's not the best for a long term storage.

First time working with watercolor markers or pens. The brush tip is flexible and very vibrant colors in this set. It has 4 watercolor pens that you use for blending in different sizes. You have access to projects online for practice. It comes with a small pad of watercolor paper with a few blank ones and some with the outline that are used in the online projects. If you don't use the outlines they are faint enough that you could still use the paper for your own designs. Or use your own watercolor paper! I thought some were drying out but they weren't drying out: I had stored them in an upright position, so the pigment will flow when using them just give it a minute. I started storing them horizontal and that took care of the pigment flowing smoothly right away. ... show more

I am very excited about these Watercolor brush pens! They come with 50 colors, they have real brush tips, and work just like regular paint brushes. The kit also has 4 water pens, 1flat and 3 round brush tips, also it comes with a small watercolor practice pad, also the online tutorials are really helpful, they really help you to become familiar with how to effectively use their products. That is really an awesome benefit, because, I have never used watercolor brush pens before. The colors are really rich in pigments, and they are easily laid down upon the paper's surface, and they are very fluid and smooth and blends really nice, when activated with the water pens. The water pens dispense the water, really well, with just the right amount of finger pressure, and given the size of the pen barrel, and the amount of water it holds, the water goes a long way. The price of this kit is well worth the money and I am thrilled with my purchase and I would highly recommend this kit to any one who has a small limited work space at home, or any artist, looking for a way to paint on the go, this kit has everything you need, to be able to paint anywhere that suits your fancy, just whip them out and go to town. ... show more
