Great little mat! I use a variety of different things and this mat is wonderful. Hardly anything sticks to it and it cleans up easily. So far I have had solder, hot glue, epoxy, resin, tape and super glue on this thing and all came off easily. The super glue stuck a little but scraped off easily enough. I have sat my soldering iron on it for a few moments with no damage. I also regularly have a heat gun suspended above it melting stuff and the mat has held up well. Has little compartments to keep stuff from rolling away and that works great for what I make. My only regret is not getting the bigger size but the small one was the best value.

I thought this pad looked really nice. it's big, has a lot of little places for different types of screws, the magnet spots are very handy, and it is definitely heat resistant. I tried holding the tip of my soldering iron to it at 450 degrees Celsius and it held up great. This thing is great for my drones as I can fit a full five inch quad on the mat without any issues. The silicone is a bit sticky though and it picks up every single piece of debris. Luckily it is easy to take outside and hose off, which cleans it up nicely. Solder doesn't stick either which is a plus. I also like the fact that little screws don't bounce or slide around, although the black does make it hard to find my little screws sometimes (probably why blue is more popular). My only gripe is the fact that it doesn't lay flat in the back. It's just a little off with the pocket ridges too. Not a huge problem but I don't think there is anyway to fix it. I am sure there are variations within manufacturing so your mileage may vary. This thing is also a little pricy, although for its size, it is right there among other brands and if black is a must have for aesthetics then you might have to splurge.

I originally wanted a little magnetic pad to keep track of screws during a project, but I ended up finding this as a recommended item instead and thought it would have more utility than just a tiny magnetic pad. This is a large size silicone surface which is perfect for my mechanical keyboard hobby. It provides a soft area to place fragile pcbs and an easy to wipe off surface when lubing switches. There are many compartments to place the different parts of key switches or screws and a few small magnetic pockets for smaller screws. Its heat resistant material is also great when soldering switches as well. I wanted a different color, like a lighter shade, so I can see screws easier, but this size only came in black, which is gives it a nice clean look, but harder to see small screws. I didn't thinking about having such a surface to fix up keyboards and have been risking multiple desk mats as my surface. Very happy with this product.
