This is one of many reconditioned products I have purchased from Amazon. And this desktop computer is outstanding. I did run into a couple of issues setting it up. So let me fill you in. First thing, there are 3 wireless USB adapters that must be plugged into the back of the tower. One for the wireless ability for the tower, one for the mouse and one for the keyboard. I found the wireless adapter for the mouse inside the battery compartment. The next issue I ran into is the keyboard was defective. It took some time for me to figure that problem out. My monitor screen, on whatever website I was on, kept flickering with a yellow cursor box everywhere. It acted like a virus was in the computer. Yet, thanks to Gemini, he helped me diagnose the issue. A defective keyboard really didn't matter to me, I had all the parts I needed to hook up two towers to one keyboard, one mouse and one monitor. The photo on Amazon's description of the rear of the tower is not accurate. I have attached a photo so you can see the rear. Just know that the output for a monitor is a display port. So, I had to order an adapter that converted display port to HDMI. This is a very inexpensive part that works great. My current desktop is Windows 7. I have had this tower since Windows 7 was released. So changing to a Windows 11 tower was frighting to me. Well, let me tell you this. Windows 11 is awesome. Very intuitive and takes some time to get to where want to go. Mainly because it looks nothing like Windows 7. I found the best thing for me was to PIN the most used features along the bottom of the toolbar. The setup was super easy. Although when it wants you to choose a PIN number for Microsoft, that number is the lock code number you enter every time to open your desktop . DON'T FORGET THIS NUMBER! Last thing, this is a full size tower. Not a compact. Full size! It works great, and it is super fast. I hope this information helps. There were a few issues, although the computer works fine. It was advertised as shipping with keyboard and mouse. They were missing. Support is shipping replacements. Also, I ordered HP Desk PRO 600 but got 400. The 400 is missing USB-C and only has one Display Port instead of 2. Support offered a partial refund. The only contact information was on a label on the computer. A good value, good support. As I continued to use the computer, Bluetooth features seemed to be missing. It seems that is also a missing feature of the HP400. For about $10 I just ordered a Bluetooth dongle. If you order this HP600, make sure that is what you get before installing al your apps. After a couple immediate concerns, so far so good. The outside shipping box was pretty mangled and open, but the boxes inside were fine. Then I had one problem, as it wouldn't accept a new internal graphics card due to some security setting. It drove me crazy, but their tech support walked me through it. Since then, it's been awesome! At first it appeared to be a good nice quality product but it blue screened. After some debugging, there seemed to be no simple fix. I contacted Amazon and returned it at Staples. Staples ships via UPS. After 30 days, Amazon had still not received it back, so I had contacted Amazon and they had refunded my money. UPS is usually much more dependable than that. The Staples employee had very loosely placed tape on the box, though. I would have secured it better with tape. I hope whoever orders this product gets one that doesn't blue screen. I am giving one star because it blue screened and UPS evidently lost it. ... show more

    • My experience upgrading to Windows 11

I am happy with this refurbished and upgraded PC. I had some questions and the support was great. I did use the online AMD cleanup utility and the Intel app to updated drivers. I used CCleaner to install even more updates than offered by Windows updating. The DVD was not fully installed, that is an easy fix by adding the correct data cable and a power cable. I bought 2 DP to VGA adapters so I can have 2 monitors. I am working on adding more SATA drives. Visually, the front has a long deep scratch, but that is to be expected for a used item. Windows 11 installed perfectly, and OneDrive made transferring easy. I have Windows Defender and Malwarebytes working together (You must turn off Malwarebytes setting about registering, so they play nice together by WD being the AV and MW secondary helper). This PC is replacing an older HP PC and an older Toshiba Qosmio laptop, both having Windows 10. I will recommend this company for offering these nice products at a great price. ... show more
