Tekrefurbs is a great reseller...they fix what's broken
I purchased an EliteDesk 705G4 from TekRefurbs a few months ago and have had no problems with it. So I didn't hesitate to buy this HP ED 705G5. Well, it failed on me...it wouldn't stay powered up for more than 10 minutes...power back on, 2 minutes. Power again, 1 minute. Power on...1 second. I started swapping out parts between the G4 nd G5. Nothing worked...but all the parts worked in the G4. I contacted TekRefurbs and I got responses quickly. When I finally figured out the power brick was faulty, they sent me a new one that arrived in two days. The machine works perfectly now. They said to toss the bad brick...they don't want it back. This machine works as expected for a 3400G Pro, 16GB RAM (mismatched 2133, 3200), 256GB Toshiba NVMe, with an empty 2.5" drive caddy, and a VGA expansion port (would prefer HDMI, but luck of the draw) along with two built in DP ports. It runs Windows 11. BTW, the G4 will run Win11 perfectly well even though Microsoft doesn't support it. Great little PC for office work, and old games. Fear not buying from TekRefurbs. ... show more

Wifi broken or missing. 3400G included.
While the balck lump on the back does signify the wifi antenna is included, the WiFi card is either missing or the antenna is damaged. Installed Nobara Linux and Kodi for video playback. Kodi reports the CPU to be the 3400G, not the GE. I'll need to get it open to check the WiFi card. Does appear that the 2.5" caddy is included but empty. Info Center reports a Samsung SSD. ... show more

Computer looks undamaged, but does not boot. Was not tested prior to sending it to me
I bought this computer excited to use it, and when it was plugged in, nothing happens when the power button was pressed. Had to issue a return.

Exactly as listed
First, I got this from Greentoptech. The computer was exactly as listed, including RAM, processor, integrated wireless, additional VGA port, etc. This is significant, given experience with other vendors under these renewed listings. Computer is clean and fully functional, as far as I have used most of the ports. Win 11 Pro update installed flawlessly. Came with a fast Samsung SSD. Included a new USB keyboard and mouse branded by Greentoptech, which I didn't expect and kind of don't need. Added to the pile... Packing was adequate, and shipping was very quick across the border. All in all, perfect. ... show more

Poor performer 2400GE
The PC that arrived did not have the proper specs or performance . The older 2400GE processor is not Windows 11 compliant and is lower performing than the 3400GE . I cannot recommend buying from this particular listing .

It looks brand new and is exactly as listed minus the WiFi and BT. Works like new.
I can't see from the inside or outside that this computer has ever been used even one day. It looks brand new. The fans inside look brand new. Everything inside and out looks brand new. It came with one Samsung 16 GB DDR4-3200 RAM stick, so I bought a matching 16 GB stick to add to the empty RAM slot. It came with VGA port, in addition to the 2 DP ports, so removed the VGA port and ordered a $14 DP module to replace it to have 3 monitor support. It came with a Kioxia 256 GB NVME drive so I cloned that and replaced it with a Gen 4, 1 TB NVME drive and moved the Kioxia 256 GB NVME drive to the Gen 2 slot. There are two M.2 NVME slots (1 Gen4 and 1 Gen2) but installing 2 NVME drives requires removing the SSD drive bay. All the USB and other ports feel like they've never been used before. There is no BT/Wi-Fi module inside but there is a slot for one. The antennae leads are there too but are essentially impossible to attach to a Wi-Fi module as I attempted it and utterly failed trying. I do not recommend anyone to attempt it. There's a 2.5" SSD bay inside as well. Windows 10 Pro booted up instantly and updated itself and I updated the BIOS. Windows was already registered and then I updated to Win 11 Pro for free. I also replaced Microsoft's Radeon Vega 11 driver with AMD's own Radeon Vega 11 driver which is from 2024. The chassis is all metal and built like a tank on the inside and out. This computer's hardware and software all runs flawlessly. Everything installed on it and in it works like new. I have no complaints. All hardware was exactly as listed. ... show more

Work fine, WiFi not working
Everting look fine, I spent about 15 hours updating the software to windows 11. I wasn’t able to make the WiFi to work on windows 10 or 11, even though it show all the WiFi in the area, it doesn’t connect to the internet.
