The moment I put the new cartridge in and it went through it's cycle, it showed the Cyan as being 4/5th's of the way full. This, coupled with the way HP has taken hostage the aftermarket ink market, has led me to the decision to avoid all HP products.     • 8620 printer stated this cartridge is not compatible
Even though this cartridge says it works for the HP 8620, the printer states it is incompatible. The model # on the cartridge itself has an extra letter in it than the cartridges that came with my printer. So even though it is marked 951 and the package says it is for the 8620, the printer disagrees with it and will not work with this cartridge. ... show more

I purchased the HP 953 yellow and 951 blue cart. Jan 9 and 10, 2019, and Feb. 5 I I was notified BOTH were empty!! I use black ink for all my printing, and only use these 2 colors for hilighting, which is infrequently. And they lasted ONE MONTH? No way!! I have used these color cartridges previously, for years, and resold them for 30+ years in business, purchased through Amazon. I have praised Amazon for their brand-name product offerings, but am VERY dissatisfied with these 2 cartridges. It's apparently too late to suggest replacements, but I certainly do not want to continue to receive grossly unsatisfactory products like these. I'm certain both HP and Amazon would agree.     • Expensive, but unavoidable...
These things empty just way too soon, the way they are designed, we barely print on our home office printer, but the ink cartridges keep wanting replacement. Also, rather than allowing it to print even if one kind of cartridge may be low (say it's low on magenta and you just wanted to print a black and white document) it will still refuse to print! I find these tactics low and I can't blame those who use non-genuine cartridges or injection refilling. I probably will still continue with HP cartridges for simplicity, but it is expensive. ... show more

It looks like my whole batch of 951s and the 950 XL that I ordered December 24, 2017 is incompatible. I notice these are Malaysian made, labeled z10 for use in USA and Canada but they are rejected by my 8630 printer. The previous China-made ones worked. How do I get replacements for these that work on my USA-purchased printer? ... show more

My HP Office Jet Pro does not recognize this product as being HP and does not accept the cartridge. Therefore, it is worthless. Do not trust this product. Apparently, it is a "crapshoot" as to whether or not it will work. With so many other options available, why bother with this scam?

Cartridge was not recognized by my HP printer?? Can I return an open print cartridge to Amazon? After losing $90 in ink purchases I've converted over to the HP monthly print program. We'll see how that goes.

It is an ink cartridge, what more can you say. Way too expensive for a product that probably cost $2.00 to manufacture. They give away the printers and make all their money off the ink.
