Laptop quality I personally believe that its very well. The functionality is super good. I have had it for a couple months now and I can definitely say that it was worth the purchase. I am in college and it works perfectly for that too. On my free time I will play games here and there and the games are very seamless. I personally play a lot of Sims 4 and it also works pretty well. Battery quality is something that is a little iffy for me because I noticed that when a game is being played battery life tends to drain even quicker. Ok so I bought this for one thing only, and that was to play The Sims 4. Thats it. I play with alot of mods and CC, have over 6,000 downloads in my mods folder, almost every DLC, and my game loads up into live mode within 5 mins or less, and i have storage leftover for more downloads! Graphics are set to ultra in sims, which is the highest capability in settings, no lagginess or glitching ever, if so its very rear. Downside: volume. Comparing to my Mac Book Air 2019 where i previously played the sims on, this PC has low volume in general, even on 100. Its just not that loud in my opinion. Downside: the battery life but in all fairness i do have alot of downloads. Please be advised when the battery hits 10% you literally have two minutes to charge it or it will shut down immediately mid. Usually with my MacBook 10% battery life would at least last me about 10 to 15 minutes before it dies. Downside: The fan blows hot air while game is running, feels like it may be overheating but nothing too concerning in my opinion. The charger itself, i actually almost burned myself with it because it was so hot. I do use an extension cord to plug it in so im unsure if theres a difference when plugging directly into an outlet, but this is a safety hazard. Overall i would recommend as far as storage and game quality, the downsides aren’t deal breakers in my opinion. But after playing the sims on Mac for 7 years, i’d say this PC is a major upgrade. ... show more

Good gaming laptop for the price. Recommend upgrading the RAM first, as context and taskbar menus lag right out of the box. Runs Euro Truck Sim 2021 full ultra no problem. Wish the backlit keyboard had an option to illuminate up on keypress and go off by itself. It's either on or off, no brightness setting for it either. Not a deal breaker though ... show more

I set mine up yesterday and it can't run programs beyond a web browser for more than 15 minutes without crashing or bluescreening. I've also been unable to install the latest Windows updates. I contacted HP support and they declined my warranty claim because the seller upgraded the computer. Additionally, Amazon will not let me request a replacement for the item, so I am forced to get a refund. It may just be mine in particular that has issues, but I recommend purchasing through the HP website regardless so you can get support. ... show more

I just got it 3 days ago, so far it’s what I expected. I basically bought it for my son to play on, so he can have his own. It has a backlit keyboard and a 4GB GPU, that’s about as “gaming” as it gets. I bought it as a personal laptop for a kid. The GPU helps it run anything he would want to watch or kids coding programs. It only has 8gb ram but it runs smooth. I’ll probably upgrade it, but it’s fine out of the box. In the end, if you’re looking for “gaming” soend a couple hundred more and get a real gaming laptop. Don’t settle. If you want a personal laptop with a few fun bells and whistles this is great for that. Also, Amazon’s shipping is so lazy, they just threw the laptop box inside a box and taped it up. No stuffing at all, no paper no bubble wrap. Billion dollar company. And they would have charged me for the return if it was damaged. But the Laptop is fine as of today.
