Description

The tall alien's eyes flashed. That was the only warning I got. He charged at me, throwing my crewmates aside as if they were nothing. In that moment, I was certain he would kill me.But no death blow came. Instead, he spoke, his deep voice heavily accented, each word like stone slabs falling into place."You are mine."ClayI don't ask for much from life; I get paid, and then I get laid. And piloting spaceships across the galaxy keeps my solo lifestyle well-funded. I don't need a relationship or any of the baggage that comes with it. I like my men like I like my coffee; to go.That is, until the most boring job in the universe goes horribly wrong and I'm snatched from my ship by a seven-foot alien. He's huge, he's purple, and he's ripped as hell. I'm sure I'm a dead man.Only it turns out he doesn't want to kill me. What he wants is far worse.ArcayI am the Second; Aldar royalty, the right hand of our leader. I live a half-life. On my planet, alphas and omegas are believed to be two halves of a soul. But Omegas are a rare treasure, all but extinct, and I have resigned myself to never knowing the joy of a soul bond. But that all changes the moment I step onto the human ship. By some miracle, their pilot is an unclaimed omega. It does not matter that he is a different species, I have to have him. That should be my happy ending; omegas are supposed to be meek, obedient, and willing. Clay is anything but. He resists me at every turn. I must bend him to my will before his potent pheromones draw every unmated alpha on the ship–my rank will only hold them back for so long. How to Train Your Human Omega is a beauty and the beast retelling in the form of an action- packed, spicy, M/M sci-fi romance (with no mpreg) featuring an alien race of beefcakes, a stubborn human, and a very confused and grumpy alien trying to find his happily ever after in all the wrong ways. This book is the first in the Coveted Bonds series, with overarching storylines and recurring characters. Each story follows a different couple to their HEA. For mature listeners. Read more

  • INCREDIBLE author discovery!!!
I absolutely adore this feeling when you discover a new talented author!! This is a magnificent work, from character development to world building and such a rich chore of narrative. I’ll start by saying if you’re new to the Omegaverse world (ABO: Alpha, Beta, Omega) maybe you’ll be a little lost about the dynamics at first but you’ll get it almost immediately. It works basically about Alpha and Omega being able to be paired and releasing pheromones, and Beta being like your regular person who can’t. But what makes this book richer is not the ABO environment but the ALIEN one, we got a magnificent world building, extremely detailed and interesting. Technology and culture explanation and of course miscommunication because… we can’t have angsty events without it (lol). I don’t want to spoil too much, so I’ll just say there’s plenty of angst moments caused by events related about hierarchy among alphas and the interest in the omega. There’s a lot of action and a thread of intrigue at the background so we’ll executed it was a pleasure slowly discovering it. But the most incredible and well achieved thing in this book is the relationship building, how real it felt, the struggle, the language and culture differences and misunderstandings, the anxiety over the unknown, each character has flaws but they walk a path of self discovery through each other and I found that absolutely perfect. There’s no way you won’t fall in love with both of them, Clay and Arcay are characters with depth and layers who learn to really love and respect each other. The villain is such a good one, a real villain who causes so much damage and troubles through the entire book. It was very interesting (and I won’t lie, so angsty at times!!) seeing a villain with a porpoise and his own agenda. I recommend this one 100%, and I’ll assure you you’ll be at the edge of your seat most of the time until the end. The epilogue it’s so very sweet you’ll read it with heart shaped eyes. 🤍 Don’t hesitate, read it now, you won’t regret it 🤍 ... show more

  • fun!
A fun addition to the MM human/alien romance world. The plot was relatively straightforward but the twist toward the end could have been fleshed out a little more so we had more than a tiny hint that something hinky was going on. But hey, it’s a book with huge, hot, purple alien dudes so I could roll with it. Clay and Arcay are fun characters and I liked the betas, too. I look forward to the sequel! Maybe we’ll get to see more of their home planet. ... show more

  • The path to true love was never so terrifyingly hot!!!😍😍😍
Expect great things!😁 Truly, I did not know what picture this book was, ultimately, going to weave into my brain. It starts off with a bang but does not finish with with a whimper. No it does not! This is an exciting, dangerous and sexy tale of fated mates. So much unexpected fun. Definitely pick this one in your que!😘 I highly recommend this crazy beautiful tale of true love!!!😉 ... show more

  • good story, but needs another round of edits
This story was actually really good, and there were many parts that completely gripped me. Every time I thought I knew what was going to happen, it went the other direction and had me constantly swiping the pages to see what happened next. But I kept getting pulled out of the story from the grammatical errors and story inconsistencies. An event never actually taking place in the story but follow up events/character reactions appearing as if it did take place and then I have to go back to make sure I wasn’t didn’t miss something. Like okay, didn’t happen that way so not sure how it could play out that way but onward I guess. Thankfully, it’s not riddled with errors, but for some it’s enough to affect the enjoyment of the story. Another round of edits and corrections and this story easily bumps up to a minimum 4 stars. But if you can look past that, definitely give it a go. ... show more

  • Never wanted to put it down!!
Very solid 4 star read!!! I loved Clay and Arcay so much. He was a smidge grumpier than I was expecting at the beginning, but he really proves himself to be such a sweetheart. There was a moment here and there where I had a small “why???” or “really?”, but nothing that took me too far out of the zone. I finished this in just 3 days!! The spicy scenes were soooo good too, and I adored the way the bond was written. I know it sounds silly but the antagonist feels like he gets away with a bit *too much* (which is probably the point), but that was my main frustration (as well as the leader not being as Leader-y as he should’ve been). I still devoured it though, and I do recommend it!! ... show more

  • Gripping
Interesting world building. Really enjoyed the way the author set up the story. For the first time ever, I would love to read more about this couple. Arkay is an honorable and strong-headed alien, Clay is a human from the other side of the universe. If you like sci-fi, definitely worth the read.

I really enjoyed this book!! I loved the plot, the characters and the world! It was a fun; a mostly light hearted book with some drama and tension, a dash of conspiracy and sexy alien fun!

  • Great story
This was awkward at first to read the kidnapping and almost moments was startling but not to bad I love the main characters. Arclay hit the jackpot finding his mate however said mate Clay wanted choices and told what to do the adventure they have is excellent and terrifying.
