I've never been on an e-scooter before in my life. I'm an older guy and for a long while I've been interested in how these feel to ride. However, I did not want to spend a whole lot of money to test it out. When I saw that the X1 can be had for an affordable price I decided to give it a try. I really love it. I find that I'm going places and doing things that I would not normally do because it would be too tedious to walk or to haul around a heavy unwieldy bicycle. The X1, by comparison, is super portable. It folds up and can fit very easily into the back of my car. It's especially nice for exploring in park trails that allow it or at least don't enforce bans. Under fairly gentle conditions, level ground at about 10mph, it is possible to get almost the 10 miles of advertised range. More spirited riding will reduce the range by quite a lot. The motor, even though it's only 250w feels plenty powerful to me. The cruise control takes a little getting used to but it works fine. The breaks feel like an entry level model but they do work. It makes a cool low hum when accelerating that sounds like a hovercar. When at a steady speed it's basically silent. I was surprised how stable it feels to ride. I'm still careful because the 8-inch tires are on the small side and even small obstacles in the path could cause instability. But I find if I'm attentive and keep my knees slightly bent it's just fine. The addition of the little bell is appreciated just to give folks a heads up that I'm coming. I'd suggest being aware that the X1 is entry level and is probably only suited to smooth well maintained bike paths. 15mph feels very fast on this scooter because the stability, while good, isn't great (which may be a bonus because it encourages me not to get overconfident). Having this model to experiment with I'm starting to get a much better idea of what I want when and if I upgrade. Certainly bigger tires and beefier brakes. I'd probably want a lot more battery too because 10 miles goes by so fast when you're having fun on your scooter. But I knew going in this is an entry level model with entry level specs.

Ran fine for a year. Our son used the scooter to commute to and from school. A few days ago, the front wheel fell off, resulting in minor injuries. Contacted Hoverfly to request replacement mounting hardware for the wheel, because one of the lug nuts and one of the spacers could not be located. Product was out of warranty by about 1.5 months. Their solution was to send an invoice for a new $100 wheel assembly. They can keep it because, as I explained to the illiterate rep(s), we only need the hardware. Understood about the warranty, but this isn't glitchy electronics or a faulty kick stand; it's the front wheel falling off unexpectedly while a 13-year old is riding their product. Garbage.

We don't ride it everyday but so far so good. I think we've had it for over two or more months now. When we use it, we ride for at least an hour all throughout the city. It's a bumpy ride for sure but all and all it's decent. The speed doesn't go over 15 and if on an incline lower than that. Charging takes about four hours and from what we can tell, you can get at least 2 hours out of it. In miles not sure because I track the hours but if I had to guess maybe up to like 15 miles. Definitely not 25 like it suggests. It easily folds to take with you on the go. Not to heavy to where our kid can take up and down stairs. The brake can be quick so brace yourself. Plus my kids can be rough but it's still holding up well. Over all you get what you pay for and not bad for the price.

I am incredibly happy with this electric scooter; honestly, it runs so well and feels super stable for daily use. The motor responds perfectly, and the ride is really smooth and comfortable for getting around the city quickly. Another major plus is the safety aspect: it has built-in lights, including a front headlight that is bright enough for night riding, and a solid red taillight on the rear fender so you're easily spotted by traffic. Highly recommended!

My son is thrilled; he says it’s the best gift he’s ever received. We went to the park yesterday and spent about four hours there, yet he only used up one bar of battery charge. It’s easy to assemble, has different speed modes, and best of all it offers great stability and a smooth, steady ride. It also folds up for easy storage.

The scooter is fun to ride but does not come close to some of the specs. The battery only lasts about an hour (with riding on high speed). It does take around 5 hours to charge back up. The top speed says 22 but i can only get 20 going down slope. My niece has a vopam scooter that is cheaper and faster. I would not buy this one again.
