I was skeptical about this hoverboard at first, but it ultimately exceeded my expectations. The hoverboard is extremely easy to set up, charge, and use in addition to customizing it through the app. The hoverboard itself is very heavy and robust, which gives me peace of mind in terms of its build quality. The hoverboard itself can be used without pairing it to the app, although I do recommend pairing it as it allows you to monitor your speed, battery life, customize the LED text display, and most importantly- calibrate it. I'm personally somebody who wasn’t used to hoverboards before this, so I thought this would be a great way to learn and it actually was. While I did initially have some struggles overestimating my own balance, the hoverboard makes it easy to quickly adjust to it as it also balances itself as you are, so while it does feel like your own body might be fighting against the self-balancing aspect of the hoverboard at the beginning, the more you use it and trust it, the hoverboard will keep you upright and balanced most of the time. The hoverboard also has excellent pressure sensitivity which makes turning and rotating feel like an extension of your own body and mind once you get good at using it. Once you have the balancing aspect down, the hoverboard is incredibly powerful. This is able to climb hills almost effortlessly, and at full speed it feels faster than if I was to run. The wheels are able to go over most bumps, cracks, and small rocks without much of an issue or disturbance, and even if you feel like you are going to fall, the hoverboard makes it feel more like a "Step-down" as is it is easy to basically just walk off of it onto the ground if you are about to fall. The battery life has also been superb as when using it around the block or inside my house, I feel like I can use this for several days before I need to charge it again. The only exception is when taking long trips to a friend's house several blocks away at which point after returning the battery life will be much lower. It does take a few hours to fully charge it, but this isn’t a big issue to me. Finally, I haven't talked about my favorite feature- the display and built-in Bluetooth speaker. The front of this hoverboard has an LED text display that you can customize to be any word or phrases you want and there is also a built-in speaker that you can use to play your favorite music as you ride it, and this is where it truly shines, in my opinion. The speakers aren’t going to be the clearest or best sounding in the world, but the fact it’s there and sounds good enough is a feature I wasn’t expecting. I love being able to drive this up to my friend's house and have some quirky inside-joke waiting to be read while playing some goofy song as he greets me and I’m standing there acting like the coolest guy on the block. It doesn't matter what you put on this display or what music you play, it's just that this hoverboard demands attention and you will definitely get it if you are coasting around in public on this thing. Overall, while it did take me a couple of hours to fully adjust to it, once I did, I felt like I was a natural pro at it and I can't stop using it. I absolutely love it and I'm an adult. So whether you get this for yourself, a friend, or your kids, everyone will enjoy it. It's the perfect beginner hoverboard and I couldn't be more thrilled. I highly recommend it!

This is my first hoverboard, so I am not exactly the best on it yet, but I'm having a lot of fun with it. The first thing i noticed is that once you get it out of the box and make sure it is fully charged, that a calibration is absolutely necessary, My model was very sensitive to the slightest touch, and still is a little touchy, running the calibration made a huge difference, and is easy to accomplish. It reaches its full charge after a few hours and then you can play. I only mess with this for about 30 - 40 minutes at a time, and its battery last more than long enough for me. I put it back on the charger after every use though. You need to download an app to adjust the settings further from between beginner, intermediate and expert. And while it is really awesome that you can listen to music while you're cruising, its a little obnoxious to be honest and I really can't stand people who force others to listen to their music lol. The Speakers also have a high pitch whine to them while you're using them. So it is a feature i really don't use. I do however really like the custom LED display, i currently have "!!!Watch out!!!" on my display. Outside of the Speakers the only thing really I don't like about this model is the inability to turn the RGB lights off. Like you already have an application that alters settings on the device, but you don't add the ability to adjust the RGB's?? Weird, not deal breaking or anything, just feels like a big miss. All-in-all, I think this is a very good deal for what you get, and while I don't like the speaker and think its a waste, it could be the cherry on the icing for you and your taste. I feel good in recommending this hoverboard Recommended 4/5 STARS ****

I do a lot of walking when I am downtown where I live. Most of the blocks are pretty long winded and feels like it takes forever to get to the next one. When I saw this pop up in my feed, I knew this would make the perfect opportunity to get to places where I need to go quicker. The hoverboard itself is pretty cool looking first off. It looks like something you would see in a movie as pretty futuristic. I have to admit, it was a little bit of a learning curve for me to get the hang of it at first, but once I did, I was off to the races. It also has non-slip pads where you place your feet, so I do not need to worry about slipping off by accident. What's really cool about this particular model is the customization function that displays a message on the front. You can custom it off of the app which I use my Samsung Galaxy phone to do and just adds an extra layer of coolness as you ride.

My grandkids have one of these. I have always been a bit afraid to try it out and it has seemed weird to me that with age, I somehow feel less sure about my ability to balance even though I used to be great at it. So, I ordered this feeling like if I practice it could help me get that balance back. This thing is pretty amazing and pretty powerful. I feel like if you are a seasoned hover board user, you would love, love, love it. It is going to take me sometime to get good at this. In a way it is almost like it has a mind of its own. I stepped forward off it the first use and not knowing, it smashed me really hard in the back of one of my ankles. And trying to figure out how to get it to turn how I want to, I somehow ended up so that the wheels built up some momentum and then marked the 'you know what' out of my floor. Luckily I was able to clean it up. I AM not so sure I need the customizable screen. Maybe I use it to tell others to be ware of the crazy lady trying to ride the hoverboard. Also, I did like that it came boxed and fully ready to go. Instructions were thorough. I don't have to connect to an app or anything to use it. I AM just glad no one has to review how good I AM riding this thing, so far.
