This particular hover board is on the heavier side compared to other's that we have tried. This makes it a bit more sturdy, and also a lot slower than others. Make sure you pay attention to the weight limits, and treat them as a law, or you will have some issues. This Rocket model hover has self-balancing feature, which is great if you are just starting out. it helps you to learn to do it like a pro! I wouldn't recommend this for anyone over the age of 11, this is best for the younger, smaller kids! Definitely not for adults! ... show more

I recently got the Hover-1 Rocket Electric Self-Balancing Hoverboard and I must say, I'm very impressed with this product. Ok, so I'm a bit older but I've always thought these things look fun. They are. I was amazed by how responsive and just plain fun this thing is to ride. It charges in a few hours and, to be honest, I have had it over a week and haven't had to recharge it yet. The kids love to ride it and everyone has a blast once they get their hoverboard legs, which does take a bit. But it's like any other activity that requires balance: surfing, skating, etc., it takes a minute but then you get the feel for it and it becomes second nature. Please be careful, though! A kid can fall and usually not do too much damage, but older people trying this can definitely end up in the hospital! I didn't, but it was close! So I recommend everyone who tries and rides one of these, young and old, to wear a helmet, pads, etc. The ride is super smooth but when you hit a bump or crack, look out, your legs can go right out from under you. If you're in the market, this is an excellent board that I can recommend. The construction is sturdy and responsive, the lights are really cool looking, and it's very fun to ride.
