These work so well!! I have used them every weekend since I bought them and they never fail to work. Depending on how many twigs we have I usually use 1-3 of these and they start the fire in less that 5 minutes. This fire didn’t have any twigs just a bundle of wood and we used 3 fire starters but it started so fast we probably could have used two. Regardless, I haven’t found better fire starters. They light easily, stay lit for a long time, and gets the fire started fast instead of having to spend 10-15 min trying to get it started with paper bags. Highly recommend!

My sons and I tried out these firestarters for the first time this past weekend while camping. I tested them by dunking them in water first, and they still took a flame easily. I even lit them with one of those cheap newfangled electric fire lighters that look like a miniature stun gun, and it lit fully within seconds. They burn for several minutes, long enough to easily get a fire going. I am comparing them to my favorite fire starters, Zip. Zips burn much longer and give a bigger flame, but the black smoke they emit might turn off certain people. However, these Houswise starters burn cleanly and less smoke. I like them and recommend them.

I finally broke down and got a chimney and these starters. I honestly was skeptical at the beginning, thinking that these would not burn long enough. I was wrong!! I like one of these under my chimney and my coals are ready to go in less than 10 minutes. Most importantly of all these light so easily I am using an electric plasma lighter. I don’t have to buy butane anymore, I don’t need a chunky expensive electric lighter or anything of that kind. Fires is now simple, easy and cheap.

As someone who is blind, I found these very easy to use. They light quickly and give me good heat for a BBQ. I use between 2 or 3 to ensure my coals are heated evenly, and they work great! I know some have mixed opiniots, but this is just another viewpoint. I like how they literally catch fire in a few seconds. Very similar to the regular tumbleweed.
