My 10 year old son saved up for 2 years to buy an electric scooter and after 4 months it is unusable! Buyer beware!! Here’s our story… The first scooter arrived used and wouldn’t even turn on. After several days we were finally able to get a replacement through Amazon. We thought all was well with the new arrival. A few days later my son said the handlebars weren’t straight. Thankfully my husband is handy and bought a larger bolt to better secure the handlebar. Next the battery stoped charging, this was around week 5. Again, my handy husband removed the casing around the battery and noticed the wires were loose so got out the soldering tools to make some repairs. Next around month 2 the wheels blew out, basically disintegrated. Handy husband found replacement tires and was able to replace/update the POS tires that came on the scooter. We were hopeful this was the last of the issues but now on month 4 the scooter has gone haywire. It’s showing an E8 code and when he tries to slow down by releasing the throttle it keeps accelerating. He’s unable to stop the scooter so we’ve stopped using it and called Hover 1 to discuss this latest issue. After emailing Hover 1 we’ve been told this is out of the 90 day warranty and there is nothing they can do! I’m disgusted after only 4 short months and a lot of addition time and energy repairing a defective scooter we are offered no assistance. I warn all potential customers to look elsewhere, try to find a reliable company that stands by their brand. My 10 year old is devastated, he loves this scooter and can’t begin to understand how after 2 years of saving for his dream scooter it’s all taken away with no one willing to help. Got this for a trip keep up with my friends Xiaomi scooter. For the most part, it out performed theirs, and I saved money on the purchase. The bell is loud, ride is good, light is bright. Acceleration wasn't as fast as Xiaomi but once speed was gathered I was passing them. Battery life was great. 2 other people ended up ordering this scooter. All the parts for a Xiaomi fit into this scooter. Well built, wiped out on a pot hole and scooter had minor scratches. Got back up and rode off. ... show more

I've had several trips now so wanted to share my feedback. I weigh about 160lbs. I've gotten nowhere near 16 miles range on a full charge. Mostly flat surface around town. 10-11 miles maximum with the last 2 miles or so going at half the speed until the battery fully depletes. Also, at 14mph this scooter is slower than my other one at 15.5 mph. Just 1.5mph is quite noticeable. The installation was horrible. It came with extra screws. At first, I thought why do you need all these spare screws. However, when trying to screw it in you will quickly find out it doesn't go in all the way and you end up messing up the thread on the screw and needing to try a new screw. After about 15min or trying to screw it in, I hav exhausted all the spare screws. So, now I have one screw sticking out and not being able to tighten by hand all the way in. See photo of what I mean. The price on this is decent, but I'd probably be willing to spend a little more for better range and speed. ... show more

Biggest piece of garbage... buy ANYTHING else. As previous reviews indicate, the tires and the battery are terrible. The back tire went flat with just a few rides. Manufacturer is unresponsive. Amazon issued refund in the amount enough to buy a new tire, however installing tire was a nightmare. Once the tire was fixed, the battery issues started. It says it’s fully charged, but just turns off and stops working a few just a few minutes riding, even after being charged overnight. Also, the new tire won’t stay full, it constantly has to be pumped. The person riding is well under weight restriction. Followed all instructions in package.... completely disappointed in this product. ... show more

(TLDR: I got this scooter for less than 300 all together and I would hardly recommend it then. Its not the best built as I've heard rattling since week 1, lost my taillight while riding one day, battery life isn't the best when flooring it, and riding on hills is the worst thing to do on this. DO NOT BUY THIS FOR $400 I GOT IT OVER $100 CHEAPER AND STILL ISNT WORTH IT) I've now had this scooter for 2 months. So far I haven't had issues like others where they had to get replacements. I saw that people had blown their tires so I let some air out when I got it and it's been fine since then. It gets you everywhere and I've been carrying it around my college campus almost daily. But I've noticed so many things using it so much. I like being able to fold it, it takes mere seconds to fold and pick up. It is slightly heavy especially carrying it all day so I would advise leaving it outside. Besides that that's all the good I can think of. The company at least doesn't lie when they say don't ride on inclines. It's performance absolutely tanks but that's for most e-scooters I suspect. I've not gotten it to 16 miles in terms of range but I constantly floor the acceleration so that would likely be the reason why I haven't. The build quality is scary as I've heard it rattle since I got it. It rattle to the point where I lost my taillight while riding it. (This is more of a side note but the speed limiter is somewhat harsh as if it goes over 15mph, it tries to slow you down asap. This is more of a personal gripe though and I wouldn't take this part to heart) This scooter, although as fulfilled my needs, is not worth the $400 asking price and yes I got this significantly cheaper a couple months ago. I do not recommend this AT ALL. But if you really really want it, riding this can be fun and I haven't had it as bad as others so do what you will. ... show more
