  • Scooter review
This scooter was horrible. It didn’t even power on and ruined my kids Christmas, Amazon didn’t even replace it. I was just told I could get a refund in 30 days. This was a nightmare.

  • Love it
Exactly what I expected maybe even better than I thought

  • Do not buy it from Amazon, they are selling open box items as New.
Worst experience ever, WAS OPEN BOX ITEM, NOT NEW. The scooter was not operable without repairs and even after that it was still limited and functioning as if there were something wrong with the front hub.

  • It's a total blast!
Ok, wow, this scooter is a total blast to ride! I've gone for lots of rides on it and love it! That said, this isn't a scooter for young kids, I'd say at least 12 or older depending on the child's abilities. 17 MPH on a scooter is seriously fast! Assembly was super quick and easy, just 4 screws to put in on the handlebars. I'm at the very top of the weight range and it works great for me. The tire pressure is extremely important on this scooter. The first time I took it out I rode about 3/4 of a mile and then got an E55 overheating error and it shutdown. I was super bummed! It did start working again after a bit to cool down but while it was cooling I got thinking about the tire pressure. Out of the box the tires didn't seem flat but did squish down a fair amount when I got on. The rolling resistance depends greatly on the amount of contact patch the tire has with the ground so I thought perhaps adding some air might help. Boy did it ever! The next ride I took it on I went from 12 MPH top speed to 17 MPH and didn't get any overheating errors. So make sure you inflate the tires appropriately for the weight of the rider. The included tire pump is a piece of trash that was very difficult to thread on. After fighting it for a few minutes I fired up my air compressor and easily inflated the tires. Range for me is about 7 miles, which I think is perfectly acceptable being that I'm at the top end of the weight rating and ride with the throttle pegged. So I'm not surprised at all that I'm not getting 18 miles out of it. This scooter has a higher weight rating but shorter range than Segway and is also a lot cheaper. I think this is just the right mix of features and price for most of us and highly recommend the Highlander Pro. ... show more

  • Impressive mid-range electric scooter
This electric scooter is sleek-looking and well-built. There are faster scooters and ones with bigger batteries, but this has specifications that I think will satisfy most casual users at its price. It is not perfect, but several of the cons I list below are issues that will only occur at setup. Although I dedicate quite a bit of space to discussing them, I do not think the problems are enough to keep this fantastic scooter from a solid four-star rating. Pros: — As mentioned above, this is a good-looking scooter. The color scheme, choice of materials, and industrial design are all sharp. — Good battery life — The battery is replaceable. All batteries degrade over time, and this feature will allow you to extend the life of your scooter. — I like the battery placement on the post. The batteries on the other scooters I have used are under the deck. That gives you less room to clear curbing and makes it easier to high-center. — The ride is smooth and quiet. — The headlight is decent and works well in the dark. — The handles sit nice and high, which works great for me as a tall adult Cons: — The top speed is labeled as 16, 17, or 18 mph, depending on where you look. In my experience (at 190 lb), the maximum speed is 16 mph. — It comes with ~four different instruction cards and booklets, and no one item has all the instructions. I would have much preferred one comprehensive booklet and one quick-start guide. — The handlebar attachment assembly is poorly machined. We had a difficult time properly getting all four screws in place. The holes were just slightly misaligned. It has been secure once we got them in place. — The stem for one of the tires is recessed into the wheel such that you need to use the included air pump or one that has a longer extension. The problem with using the included pump is that it has no gauge. It is thereby hard to know you have the tire at the correct pressure. It would have been nice if the included pump also came with a pressure gauge. — The speedometer display looks good in dim light or darkness but is very difficult to see in direct sunlight — The three-speed levels are indicated by a very small M that changes colors on the speedometer display. White is the lowest, green in the middle, and red at the top. As mentioned in the previous point, the display is difficult to see in direct sunlight, and the smallness of the M makes it harder to see. Moreover, after many hours on the scooter, I still occasionally forget which color corresponds to which speed. Red, the top speed, is difficult to see, even in dimmer lighting. I would prefer that they indicated the speed by a slightly larger number. — The cruise control feature is nice but only works at the top speed of a given speed level. The instructions do not mention this. ... show more

  • Nice ride
I'll start by saying that this is not my first electric scooter. This one is a smaller scale than the other that I have but this one pleasantly surprised me. The max speed on this is 18mph. The fastest I could get it to go was 16mph though. The max weight is 264lbs and my weight is 195lbs. I filled the air in the tires so I could get them up to the max PSI of 36 but had difficulty with the valve on the front tire. The valve was seated so deep that I could not get my pump that has a gauge on it. I ended up using a valve extender on the front tire to get it to exactly 36 PSI. The breaks are very good and the acceleration is pretty quick. The only thing that I wish were a little different is the handle bar length. It is 17" from end to end. I'm used to my other e-scooter that is 19.75" from end to end. For me, it just gives a little more control. But overall, this is a solid scooter. ... show more
