  • This thing is HUGE and warm, stuff sack could be a little bigger.
Color: Grey (Cotton Flannel Liner) Size: Mammoth 0F
UPDATED REVIEW: I used this bag for 14 days at the Sturgis Motorcycle Rally in the Black Hills of South Dakota. The night time temperatures ranged anywhere from the high 40's to the high 60's at night. I was quite comfortable in this bag while sleeping in just a pair of shorts. I never intended to use it in any colder weather, I just wanted a sleeping bag that would keep my warm without having to have layers of clothing on. It did it's job wonderfully for me. As for the stuff sack. I was using my US Navy seabag, but it was still a struggle to get it into that bag as well. I have since purchased two 60 liter dry bags (I motorcycle camp) and by separating the sleeping bag into each half, it fits easily into the two dry bags. It is also much easier to pack on the motorcycle and carry each bag, instead of one large bag. First impressions, this bag is huge. I order this sleeping bag for a couple of reasons. One, I wanted a sleeping bag that would keep me warm without having to wear several layers of clothing, socks, winter hat, and a scarf. The weather I camp in, the temperature averages mid 50's at night, and may dip down into the low 40's on rare occasions. I've only had the bag a few days, and have tried it out once. It's warm, and I can sleep just like I do when I sleep at home in bed, no extra clothing required. So I give it a thumbs up on that. Two, I wanted a bag I didn't feel mummified in. I don't like the feeling of being wrapped up and confined when I sleep, this bag has plenty of room. I tend to toss and turn a lot in my sleep, and I don't wake up all twisted up with a zipper poking me in the back in this bag. At 6 foot 2 inches tall, and 180 lbs, I have plenty of room in this bag to sleep comfortably with room to spare. I motorcycle camp, and I pull a small trailer behind my motorcycle, so the size and weight of the bag are not an issue, but this bag is not for someone trying to be an ultra light back packer. It is larger than I anticipated when I ordered it, even in the stuff sack, but it still works for me. I can deal with the size for the benefits of warmth and sleeping comfort. I give it a thumbs up on this also. I had read the reviews before ordering this, and the stuff sack could be a little larger. Yes, I can get it back into the stuff sack, but it's a workout. Not something I want to try and do every time I go camping. Definitely not something I want to struggle with if I have to pack up in rainy weather. I have opted to discard the stuff sack, and pack it in my sea bag from days in the Navy. It works better for me, but the stuff sack is not a deal breaker by any means, I didn't buy the sleeping bag for the stuff sack. Overall, I am very happy with my purchase of this sleeping bag. If you want a large sleeping bag, that will keep you warm, has a very comfortable and soft lining, this is a great sleeping bag. ... show more

  • Amazing quality worth every dollar.
Color: Teal Size: Mammoth 0F
Honestly any bad reviews about this bag are personal preference because the bag is amazing. I’ve had this thing for about five years now it has been a life saver in the ber months, literally woke up in three inches of snow and didn’t even know it because we were warm and toasty inside, just got back from a trip torrential sideways rain/wind storm and our tent seams failed but we were warm and dry inside the bag. Getting it back in the sack is a work out and this thing is big and heavy but that’s because it’s warm large and comfortable and worth every fight to get it back in and the storage it takes up worth it we never leave without it. My significant other and I are large and tall people 220/260 and 5-10/5-11 we fit and have plenty of space we through it on our blow up mattress it has a little pocket which I love I keep my glasses in it or AirPods or phone all kinds of thiss the top is extended so the pillows can lay on the bag itself which is great. I will keep and use it until it’s no longer thriving and surviving and then I’ll buy another one. Stop hmmmin’ and hawing’ this is the one babe. ... show more

  • Great for couples, minimal layering needed, fantastic versatility!
Color: Green Size: Mammoth 0F
My wife and I recently got back into camping in the Colorado wilderness. It can be 90 in the city but once you get into the mountains, you've got to be prepared. We like to snuggle so instead of getting two bags and worrying about compatitibilty, I went with a double. We've used it twice now and we're so happy with our decision. There are a few cons but definitely not enough to warrant a star's deduction. Here are my thoughts: PROS - Assuming you have someone in the bag with you, DO NOT LAYER UP too much. We were in t-shirts and shorts and we were VERY warm in the Colorado mountains where it was in the low 40s. We even unzipped the sides to put a leg out at one point! Bottom line is that unless you're literally in below-30 temps, you probably don't need to stack up the layers. A base layer, something on your ears/head, and some warm socks is probably all you'll need if the temps start to drop. - Outer layer is sturdy and soft. - Inner lining is VERY soft and cozy. I expected something a bit less comfortable if I'm being honest so it was a very pleasant surprise to find such a lush inner lining. - Zippers are great! While we didn't separate it entirely, I did notice that both sides zipped independently and each had a lined velcro strap to cover the zippers so the cold metal won't touch your skin. I was hot one morning and was able to unzip my side while my wife stayed bundled up. Speaking of which, there is also a cinch around the top of the bag to create a mummy-style enclosure as seen in the picture. That little cubbie is also good for stuff pillows to keep them in place. - Lots of straps on the stuff sack; easily carried like a backpack if need be! CONS - Get ready for a workout if you're using the stuff sack it came with. Unless you have a magic folding/rolling gift, you'll probably want an extra set of hands to get the first quarter of the bag in the sack. After that it's just a matter of stuffing all the way down to the bottom of the sack...which takes some effort and time. We are able to get first half of the bag in the stuff sack pretty easily after a few practice runs but fully utilizing the full volume of the bag is difficult. I have found, however, that after cinching the bag closed, the bag molds itself to take up the entire sack so it all works out in the end. If you want an easier time, you'll probably have to buy a bigger stuff sack but... - The stuff sack is already pretty big and heavy. It has plenty of straps for carrying/tying down but it definitely isn't suitable for more than a very light hike if any. That about covers my thoughts. If anything glaring comes about, I'll update but this is a fantastic double sleeping bag, especially for those of you who like snuggling up. ... show more
