We bought this hoverboard in July for a Christmas present for our son. On Christmas day he opened it and charged it all day. The hoverboard will not turn on unless it is plugged in. As soon as we unplug it the board shuts off. We immediately purchased the same board again from Amazon in hopes that the first one was just bad. We knew it would be hard to return the first one since it was purchased in July. We recieved the 2nd hoverboard a week later to find someone else's return slip still in the box and the same problem with the hoverboard. Someone returned it to Amazon and they just shipped it to the next buyer. I could not believe it. Now we had 2 hoverboards that did not work. After talking with Amazon over the phone we were able to return the most recent purchase because it was still in the return window. They refused to do anything about the first one we purchased. I tried to contact the company but the only way to contact them is by sending them a message. I have not heard from them.

The hoverboard itself is good quality- my son has been running into all the walls in my house with it for the last month. We had a snafu with the charger, though. The first hoverboard was sent without one. It says all over the box to contact hover-1 directly with any problems so I did. I received an email back informing me that any further response would take a while, and not to email repeatedly because it would "close the service ticket" if there were multiple emails sent. After waiting a month for a response, we contacted Amazon directly. A new hoverboard was sent right away which did have a charger. Strong work, Amazon. Bottom line- it's a nice product but if you have an issue, the Hover-1 support isn't great. Also, FYI, apparently the colors can vary, the first one was blue/pink/purple and the second one was green and blue.

My granddaughter loved this Hoverboard so much. I was happy with this purchase. I bought this last year for Christmas for her. I’m 75 years young & weigh 111 lbs. I road it. Make sure you purchase the scooter part that can be attached to it. Very simple to put together. Lots of fun!

We bought one for our 10 year old for Christmas. Daddy charged it up the reccomended time and we wrapped an empty box for under the tree. Christmas day, it would die as soon as unplugged, no matter what we tried. Emailed Amazon and they sent a replacement immediately and refunded once the original was dropped off at a UPS office to be returned. Second one arrived right away and charged right up. It has lights and connects to Bluetooth so the kids love riding it while playing their favorite songs. We live on a dairy farm and it goes on the gravel driveway, paved barn floors and across yards and pastures. We will be buying two more for the younger siblings.

I actually purchased this hoverboard last Christmas. We took it out of the box, plugged it in until the light was green. We unplugged it and attempted to turn it on and it would not turn on. No matter how many times we pushed the power button nothing would happen. Tried charging it again, still nothing. We needed up exchanging it for a new one. Which we took it out of the box and plugged it in. Charged it up and attempted to turn it on and NOTHING. It will not turn on unless it’s plugged in. The light is green and fully charged when it is plugged in But it will not turn on at all. I forgot to write this review. But I ended up just putting the hoverboard in the box and storing it in my closet because I didn’t want to deal with it. Forgot all about it until I recently moved this month and came across it again. Figured it attempt to get it to work a third time. And still nothing. This is a real bummer. My kids were so excited to use this thing and it hasn’t even been able to be used once.
