My son got this for his birthday and both of my kids (11 and 14) love it. It is sturdy and lots of fun. Great buy. Only complaint is the fog machine has (LOUD) sound effects, and that system broke within like 15 minutes. It runs on water but is not water-proofed well, so the wires shorted out immediately. As my son said, it was a poor design. We are just not using that feature, and my kids are perfectly happy with the go kart! My kids love this thing. It's a spectacle when they ride down the sidewalk at our park with the music and lights and laser blasters going. We've had hours of fun on this and it is a must have for kids with hoverboards. Absolutely worth the money for the entertainment/fun factor alone. If you went to a go-kart track you'd spend this on two laps around a track - so the quality issues, while they are a bummer, aren't a deal breaker and I would still buy this again and will probably buy another one when this one gets too beat up. The seat is comfortable and the metal parts/hardware are heavy duty and work well. The wheels and velcro attachments suck, so it's interesting that parts or this are very high quality good design while others are very low quality and poorly designed. The velcro straps aren't a good design. They are not durable enough material and the way that they are sewn on causes them to easily catch on the ground. The stitching that holds the velcro onto the straps came unraveled in 2 of the 4 straps provided. We had to sew them back on. When riding, the straps scrape/drag on the ground at times, and the straps don't hold up to this and are ripping/tearing. The pads on the feet that sit on the hoverboard aren't flat, so it has caused some abrasions on the hoverboards. The jet engine attachment on the back is attached to the seat by a thin lever of metal, and it sticks out such that when the kids go fast and wheelie it smacks the ground. There should either be a mechanism to prevent wheelies altogether (no fun) or a better design so the jet pack doesn't stick out so much and essentially work as a lever that pushes on the ground when the unit wheelies up. It hasn't broken off yet, but it's only a matter of time. The wheels aren't holding up well, there are chunks coming out from going over rocks and debris. My kids are very small and young, the heaviest is 45 lbs, and my wife and I have never ridden it, so I'm surprised this is an issue and would warn others with larger/older kids. ... show more

We purchased this for our 5 year old and she loves it! Unfortunately, the ‘thrusters’ didn’t work however customer services was incredibly helpful and mailed us a new one and we sent back the one that didn’t work. The new one works perfectly. The only down side is the instructions are poorly written and how to put it together did not follow the instructions included but it was easy enough to put together after looking at the photo. ... show more

I bought this for my daughters birthday and assembled it. The instructions weren't amazing, but got it together. Plugged it in to charge and there was no visible red light on the outside of the device as shown on the instructions, but I could see one inside if I looked at just the right angle. After charging per the device instructions she tried to use it and there are no lights or sounds. We plugged it back into the wall and the lights and sounds worked perfectly while plugged into the wall. She can't use it while plugged into a wall though. As far as functioning with her hoverboard that was just fine and she can steer her hoverboard with it, but we would like a fully functioning product. The product came with a tag that said to not return to Amazon, but call customer support. We called, no one answered, but we were able to leave a message. After 5 days no one had called us back, and because the price went up on Amazon, we weren't able to replace it, only get a credit for the price we originally paid. This has been very frustrating. Product was defective, no customer service response, and Amazon would not exchange it at the same price. ... show more

The grandkids love it. Definitely durable and holds up to the destruction of 4 grandkids. Keeps them entertained until the hoverboard looses its charge. Durable, practical, fun, safe and affordable. Definitely recommend.

I would have given this 5 stars because it is so much fun! However, 1 day after adding the attachment, our hoverboard died...just mid-ride, stopped and never would charge or turn back on. We thought it was a fluke so we put the attachment on another hoverboard and a day later...same thing! Both hoverboards were 2 months old. I cannot confirm that it was this attachment that did it but it seems very likely. However, I called customer service for Razor because those are the hoverboards we have and with a proof of purchase, they are replacing the hoverboards for free. I have read lots of reviews of these attachments and only found one that had a similar thing happen. Nonetheless, we enjoyed it for the 24 hours that we were able to use it. ... show more
