I've raised my rating to a 4. I failed in trying to repair it, but they finally got in touch with me and provided a replacement. I filed a complaint thru the BBB not sure how much that helped. They were very slow in responding but did provide a new replacement on 8-21-20 . They say Corona caused their response delay Bought two for my now 13 year old twins for their birthday...They love them...Great buy!!! After a few days one of them would not charge. Someone , not me, missed the amazon cutoff date by 2 days. I contacted HOVER-1 via their Website. They responded and said due to Corona virus and reduced staff return to amazon. I responded and said I tried that. Since they have a 90 day warranty, I asked for their direction I even agreed to fix myself by replacing the charging port No response, no phone number. As long as they work your kids will love them, just hope you don't run into a problem I took my 5 star to a one star They cost $200 and I've decided to try to fix it myself by replacing the charging port. Waiting for a part from Amazon, since you can't even order parts from them SAD !!!! ... show more

We got a dud on our first order which was immediately rectified. It worked great for 2 days and then started losing charge fast, after a week it stopped moving altogether. Amazon was fast to send return instructions and immediately sent another out. We got our replacement the same day the dud got picked up! The 2nd was perfect out of the box and has been awesome ever since! Holds a charge for quite a long time. Both of my boys (11 and almost 15) ride this regularly. They both love it! The lights are really cool and it goes fast! They ride it all over. I do suggest adults take it easy if they are going to try it! It's NOT as easy as it looks. My son loves his new hover board! He started riding it as soon as it came, then we had an issue with the battery. It would not charge. We contacted Amazon and they tried to trouble shoot with us to fix the issue. When it couldn't be fixed, they sent out a new voice board immediately. We purchased this hoverboard for our 7 year old son and have had it about 3 weeks. We considered a cheaper option but decided to go with a better brand despite the higher cost. This hoverboard has worked out great: it charges well, lights up and beeps, and maneuvers great. My only frustration is how the finish has worn away with use. Part of the finish around the wheels has worn away and revealed a pink color on one side which is a bit frustrating when we intentionally bought the grey chrome color. ... show more
