these hand warmers do require shaking to activate, to warm up... and if left still for a period of time, will go cold, though you can activate them again by shaking them more. they get pretty hot. they come with a fabric glove liner with various pockets that you can tuck the warmer into so it stays in place inside your glove. i live in the south so it doesn't really get super cold here though i hate the level of cold we do get, and i am a dog walker so i am out in the elements all day. we've had some pretty cold days so i tested these out recently on a particularly cold morning when i did want to wear gloves and they were so wonderful. they really helped keep me warmer, even in my pockets. (i couldn't really use them in my gloves when i had to handle a dog cuz i need my dexterity for the leash.) they lasted all day and into the evening though i didn't time it so not sure how many hours. i like these and would order more. ... show more

The media could not be loaded. My gloves usually work fine but weren’t cutting it this month when the colder weather rolled in. I hadn’t seen glove warmers before and wanted to see if they work. The box comes with two fabric glove liners that have pockets to hold the hand warmers in place — and it comes with a pair of hothands too.     • Nice Concept, Adds HotHands to Your Own Gloves with This Setup
If you have your own pair of gloves that you like to wear but just need a little more warmth, this is for you. In the box they include two stretchy-fabric glove liners that have pockets to hold HotHands (hand-size) warmers inside the back of the glove liner. The fabric is comfortable, not too much compression and just thin enough to fit my existing gloves. If you have really thin gloves I would imagine this might be uncomfortable, but really it's thin enough to be used with work or standard running gloves. It's been cold here lately and these are great for going on walks and hiking. They also include two starter hot hand warmers to get you going! The price is okay, I think that it could be a little bit cheaper but if you're looking for something to add hand warmers to your own gloves, this is the way to go. ... show more

These glove warmers are a pair of soft liners that you wear inside your gloves, just like you would wear a base layer pant or shirt. The material is thin and stretchy, with a divider between your middle and ring fingers. On the top of your hand there is a slit in the fabric where you insert an activated hand warmer packet. Then you put your gloves on over top. The kit comes with one pair of glove liners and one two-pack of hand warmer packets. I found these to be super comfortable once I got used to wearing two layers, and the extra heat on top of my hands went a long way in keeping them warm in the arctic air outside. The liner and packet don’t add much bulk to your hand size, so as long as your gloves fit well you shouldn’t have to adjust sizes to get your hands in there while wearing these. The fabric is pretty thin, so while these are reusable I do think they will start to snag after repeated use. You will probably need to replace them seasonally. I feel like this is one of those ‘Why didn’t anyone think of this sooner?’ products. They’re definitely a new tool ‘accessory’ for a tried and true classic way to keep warm in the winter. ... show more

At a time when most of us are moving to electric hand warmers (including me), there's still plenty of reason to keep something like this around. Perfect to keep in your dash in case of an emergency without any worries of a battery being damaged or running out. The perfect backup.

I don't think the glove liners add much benefit vs just tucking in hot hands when you're already wearing gloves. These are basically thick stretchy nylon sleeves with various openings. You can wear it with the opening for the packet on the top of the hand or on the palm side. My office is COLD and so I tried this out with just the liners and the warming packet. The finger openings are annoying, unless you're giving the Vulcan salute I suppose. Theres a sewn line that separates the 3rd and 4th fingers. The glove liners are pretty stretchy, so should fit various hand sizes. The opening for the hot hands packet is pretty snug, takes a second to work the packet into it. It did hold the packet in place to keep my hands warm in the office, and the heat lasted 5-6 hours. Does it work as intended? Yes, but minus star for the poor finger opening design. ... show more
