These hand warmers are very reliable. While they have three heat settings, I typically put them inside my mittens or gloves, and have never needed to use anything but the lowest setting. The higher settings might be helpful if you put them in a pocket and need the heat to transfer through multiple layers of cloth, but next to your skin, they get too hot! While they do take a while to fully charge (a couple of hours), they also heat up very quickly and stay warm for hours. ... show more

I ordered 4 of these for deer season. 2 of the 4 work well. You get about 3 hours of solid heating. 1 was dead on arrival. 1 only last about an hour. The 3 heating levels dont really do anything. You get the same temp on all levels. For the low price they mostly do the job but expect zero consistency from one to the next if ordering multiple. ... show more
