For what I paid, this brush set is a tremendous value. Good quality and full, soft bristles and the range of brush types is great. I have not used them to apply makeup yet, but so far they seem very sturdy and no signs of shedding. The storage container is a nice add. Looking forward to using these!

I recently decided to start getting back into makeup and, while I already own a few brushes I got off of Shein a couple years ago, I decided to treat myself to some new brushes because who doesn't like to use cute brushes to do their makeup? I was looking around when I came across the listing for these BS-Mall brushes. I liked the simple white and black colors, but I saw these pink ones and knew they were for me. In other reviews, the brushes looked nice and soft, sturdy, and like they were a decent size. Others said there was a strong aroma once they opened their package, but that didn't scare me away from wanting to buy these and give 'em a try. And for $13? What did I have to lose. I received them yesterday and right off the bat I was greeted with a strong scent of acetone or something similar, but I left the brushes laid out on my desk overnight and the smell's pretty much gone. You'd have to bury your nose in the brushes themselves to get a small whiff, but it's not noticeable anymore so that problem's taken care of. Anyways, I was super excited when I opened them up because I personally think they look like high-end makeup brushes. They appear to be fully functional, I used them after taking these photos and they did a great job picking up product for my makeup application, the small fluffy ones did a great job blending out my eyeshadows, and none of these poked or jabbed me as I pat them or ran them against my face. I haven't noticed any shedding besides one bristle sticking out of one of the bigger brushes (you might be able to spot it in my pictures), and I believe you get a good bang for your buck. Whether you've been using makeup since you were an adolescent or if you have a niece/daughter/granddaughter/friend wanting to get into makeup, I think these brushes would be a great gift for them or yourself. They don't feel cheap and janky to me and they get the job done. ... show more

I love the packaging of this product and the color of all the brushes. On the back of the box it gives tips for the use of each brush which I thought was kinda neat. The brushes are soft and no shedding of the bristles ..aIthough I do like my brushes a little more firm such as the brand real technique brushes they are soft but still kind of firm but these brushes definitely where a great buy for the cost! 💜 ... show more

I’ve been using this BS-MALL 18-piece set for about three weeks now and it’s been a solid everyday workhorse. The brushes feel soft right out of the package—no scratchy synthetic feel that some cheaper sets have—and they blend foundation and powder surprisingly well for the price. I especially like the denser ones for foundation and concealer; they give a smooth finish without eating up product. The eyeshadow brushes are decent for everyday looks, and the whole set covers the basics without needing a second bag of tools. Only reason it’s not a full five is that a couple of the smaller blending brushes shed a little the first few washes, and the quality isn’t quite on par with higher-end brands if you’re doing very detailed work. Still, for the money and the variety you get, it’s hard to complain. Easy to clean, holds up fine so far, and looks nice on the vanity. Would buy again for the convenience alone. ... show more

I’m not that demon to make up and this is the first real makeup set that I’ve invested in. Very nice, soft quality really good size and easy to use for a beginner with makeup brushes. I used to use my hands. They don’t absorb a lot of product so you don’t have to use a lot to apply like sponges because sponges absorb makeup. Ordered a couple of days ago and got it today! Fast delivery/5 stars. The brushes come in a nice professional box and case. All the brushes are there and they are super soft. 21 dollars for 18 brushes is 1.02 each. You cannot beat that. Also they are cruelty free. The brushes are all labelled according to their use! I give it three stars.... When I opened the package I was please to see the brushes carefully packaged in a hard plastic container. Each brush was separately wrapped within cellophane or a mesh sleeve to help them maintain their shape. The brushes are nicely made. They are firm enough to hold their shape, but soft enough to apply the makeup easily and smoothly. Here is why I give it 3 stars. The strong chemical odor that assaulted me was intense. I ended up tossing the plastic container which seemed to be the culprit. I washed each brush carefully and let them air dry. 99% of the odor dissipate by the next morning. I will wait another day to see if the rest of the smell goes away before trying the old baking soda trick. ... show more
