These heated gloves, while not sleek, definitely do the trick when it comes to keeping hands warm in Arctic temperatures. Things to know about these gloves: There is a small zipper pocket in the wrist of each that contains the battery, and the cord to plug the battery in for the glove. They come with the batteries unplugged, so you will need to unzip the pockets and plug in the batteries in order for it to work. When the battery is first plugged in, the power button on each glove cycles through all of the colors to let you know that you've successfully plugged it in. A long press on the power button on the back of each turns on the heat for these gloves. While it's not instantaneous, the gloves are really well insulated to begin with, so you almost get a head start on hand warming that way. There are three different levels of heating that you can cycle through by pressing the button with one short press once the power is on the different colors indicate the levels of heat. Red for the warmest, then green for medium, blue for low. The heating wiring seems to be around the top and palm of the hands mainly, though it does go down over the tops of the fingers, which I really appreciated. I would have liked to see more heat for the thumb, but if you get desperate, you can always pull your thumb in the warmer palm area for a few seconds. The lights on the hands will provide an extra bit of safety if you're out at night. I think these are going to be a real game changer when it comes to outdoor winter activities! ... show more

My only issue with them is the connection on the batteries and the fact that the batteries look like they were put together as part of a science fair project. I have large hands and have a hard time finding gloves that fit. I got the XL size and was surprised to find that they fit well without being too tight. The are very comfortable and warm even without having the heat turned on. I went to charge the batteries with the included charger and figured I would have to charge them one at a time but the charger has two charging plugs so you can charge both batteries at the same time. They were probably already mostly charged but the red light came on the charger and after about an hour it turned green. I put the batteries in the zippered pouch on the back of the wrist, plugged them in and pressed the button on the back of each glove setting it them to high. In just a few minutes I could feel the heat building. I kept them on for maybe 10 minutes and my hands felt almost too warm ( I was inside). I'm pretty sure I'm not going to have cold hands anymore. A few other observations, the wrist gauntlet is long enough that it should fit over or under a jacket sleeve to keep out wind or snow. Also the strap on the back of the wrist is easy to tighten and release even with the glove on the other hand. I got these in preparation for leaf season at the homestead. We live in the woods, so leaf removal is an industrial level effort. Multiple weekends with a leaf vac towed behind my yard tractor and a few days with a leaf blower to bat cleanup. By the time the last of the leaves drop, it is usually in the high 30s, low 40s... temps that do not mix well with my arthritis. My hands are the worst, getting cold makes them pretty useless... I usually remedy this by limiting my time outside by returning to the house to warm up. Today I was able to work for four straight hours outside without a break. My hands were nice and warm, I even had to turn the temperature down on the gloves, which in turn extended the time it was heating. I don't know how long they will last, but they were good for at least four hours of continual heating. The gloves were a bit snug on me. I use XL gloves and these were a bit tight on me. Perhaps that is space taken up by the heating mechanism or battery, but it wasn't a problem, just a note of caution when choosing sizes. THe battery charger is easy to use. The battery compartment is on the back of the hand, and you disconnect the 3.5 mm plug and connect to the charger. The charger has two cables, so you can charge both batteries at the same time. All in all, a good find, just in time for winter! ... show more
