  • They work!
Size: Size 1
As I get older I find that my fingers and toes do not keep warm in winter temperatures. I bought these on a whim to see if they would help when I snowshoe. I wore a pair today over my normal hiking shocks and then put on my insulated boots and off I went. I was able to feel my toes the entire 6.5 mile hike! We broke trail with 2 feet of snow. Now, my toes did get chilly, but they never went numb and I didn't have to focus on flexing them the entire time to keep them warm or warm them up. It's January, it's cold and I live in the mountains! Great buy! (Be sure to measure your feet as instructed to get the right fit! I wear a 9 women's boot and I bought the small size warmers. Fit is perfect!) ... show more

  • I didn't know how much I would love these
Size: 2
I initially rated these 3 stars, but I have given them more over time. I love these! I have Raynauds, and now that cold weather is here, I couldn't imagine not having these. They are very thin neoprene toe caps. At first I thought they felt cheap and thin, but they fit well over my socks and into my shoes. I wear them in my normal running shoes (the breathable, mesh toe kind) and they keep my toes warm running in 35° weather. I have put them through the washer, and accidentally through the dryer, and they are fine. Probably better to hand wash, though. I bought the larger size. I have size women's 8.5 feet with a wide forefoot. These were too big to wear alone, but fit just well enough over socks. They don't squash my toes together and I really can't feel them when my shoes are on. I also wear them in my fall and winter boots. By themseves, they are not warm, but they protect against damp, wet toes since neoprene still insulates when wet. I could take off half a star since tge stitching is loose on the edges now, but I wear them almost every day, and I can sew well enough to fix them. I dod not like the price, but I have certainly used them enough by now to justify it. I recommend them to my cold-toed friends. ... show more

  • Works under cool conditions
Size: 2
I bought these for downhill skiing, since my feet have always been freezing in the past while skiing. This season I added toe-warming chemical pads in addition to these warmers, and these were nice to stick the pads on. The result was that my feet were chilly at times, but I never got to can't-feel-my-toes, which is a definite improvement. I don't think that they would have achieved this result by themselves, though. I also took one of the pairs to work - I work outside, and wear wool socks in the winter, but I'm a person whose feet are always cold - and again, it helped. My feet weren't warm, but they weren't freezing. I noticed that they trap a lot of moisture, and when I would take them off my toes would feel cold because they were also slightly damp. It didn't bother me, but if your feet sweat a lot, you might not like these. I bought the larger size, which were a little loose. I'm a women's nine with normal/narrow feet. I considered sewing them a bit smaller, but as it turned out, they didn't bunch up or were too thick in my shoes or ski boots at all, so i didn't bother. When I took off my shoes though, these would stay behind inside. Do these make your feet magically warm? No. Will I keep wearing them occasionally? Yes, and definitely for skiing. ... show more

  • Amazing!
Size: Size 1
I use these primarily for running. I tried them on a cold, windy day (about 30 degrees F with 12-15 mph winds) and my toes were nice and comfortable. They weren't too hot so they didn't get sweaty or mushy inside my socks and shoes. I've also tried them on cold and mildly calmer days and they held up as well. When I'm running fast or easy, they never moved inside my shoes and I forgot about them, most times. For reference, I wear a women's size 8 in running shoes. I've also worn them when I was standing and watching a race, in about 35-degree weather. My toes were mostly warm, but after about 2.5-3 hours, my toes did start to feel a little cold. I think it might have to do with not producing enough heat in my feet, more than the toe warmers not "working". I have not tried them for biking, as I don't bike, but I feel that they would glean the same results from running. I'm really happy I bought these in time for winter running. They're also super easy to wash (I hand wash) and dry (hanging them to air-dry takes less than 1-2 hours.) Two pairs for $8? It's really a steal. Stop reading a purchase them! ... show more

  • Not for me
Size: 2
At the outset, I need to admit that I bought the wrong size. I bought the size per my shoe size, but I should have measured. Be sure you do, too! The size chart is better than shoe size, especially if your feet are particularly narrow or wide. But beyond that, these just did not work for me the way I wanted them to. I have Raynaud's, and it is fairly significant -- it results in not only constant cold feet but also toe ulcerations through the winter. I bought these to wear under another pair of socks. I also tried between two pairs of socks. No matter the combination, I found that they would cause sweating, which would then result in chills, defeating the purpose. I had the same issue trying to use them with cold weather running. I can envision that these could be great for cold weather hiking or camping. Or, they might be great if you happen to sweat less. However, for me, they just did not work. ... show more

  • Good toe warmers
Size: Size 1
I have done bike rides in the low to mid 30s wearing thick cotton socks and these 1.5 mm-thick neoprene toe warmers, and my toes did not feel cold. I wear size 10 (US) men's shoes and size 44 (EU) men's cycling shoes, and the size 1 toe warmers fit my feet well. It's good that I do not need 3.0 mm-thick toe warmers, which is the common thickness, to keep my toes warm at 30 F because 3.0 mm-thick toe warmers would probably make my cycling shoes too tight. ... show more
