I bought this for one reason: the size. I have no room for a standard miter saw, and I have a good table saw. I do make a lot of projects with narrow boards and repetitive cuts and an 8" saw would be perfect. I was dubious of the quality and precision because of the obvious Chinese origins but the price was right. Now I can saw I was surprised and very impressed with the solid construction and I got square cuts right out of the box. However, there was one issue that bears mention: I wanted to change to a good plywood blade right away and I had a most difficult time getting the standard blade off. So much so I was preparing to return the saw until I looked again at other saws on Amazon and the manuals online and realized that the threads on the bolt that holds the blade on miter saws are reversed. You loosen the blade by turning the bolt clockwise. It still was on really tight and all you can use is a metric allen wrench, but once I got it loose everything else fell into place. Happy with my saw.

First of its kind that I've used and it is amazing. The laser sight definitely does help and the blade it comes with cuts like..well..butter. More like hot knife THROUGH butter but you get the idea. Blade is sharp,motor is strong, good combo. Bzzz zip. No joke. Haven't tried this with anything but a few 1x2 strips but yowza it's fast. And the cuts are spot on accurate. The "G Clamp" it came with is still a mystery how it works (friction?) but somehow you insert it losely into side and tighten it and believe it or not it clamps the wood tight. Super efficient so far (time will tell) and well..at least for me.. fun to use. Def recommend.

I have only used this for a small project so far — basically installing a window casing — but it worked perfectly. I haven’t used it on multiple projects yet, just this small one, and I’m very happy with it so far. The only downside is that the instructions for releasing the lock/note were a little hard to understand, especially for a beginner. Because of that, I’m uploading a video in hopes that it can help other beginners who have never bought or used a miter saw before.

I opened package today, because weather is right for use. I cannot figure any of this out with the instructions. I have spent two hours going thru the instructions. No go! Mr package lacked the dust collector and a piece with a knob and 3-4 inch attachment. Very disappointed and loss of my money! I still need a mitre saw to make repair on my house. Rats! I see you say I cannot return it.

I do recommend this saw. It’s well made. Affordable. I just wish the fence was set back a bit to allow wider cuts. But I am still happy having gotten this saw and recommend it.
