I've been using this for 7 months now and it works great for me. I have short hair, so I don't have trouble with my hair getting tangled in the bristles. It has plenty of heat. It's not a curling iron in the sense that you are putting hot metal on your hair to create the curl. It's a hard plastic comb, that you wrap your hair around, that blows hot air to create the curls. I don't know why some people with long hair give a bad review because it tangled their hair. They probably shouldn't use a curling tool like this; maybe use a little common sense, instead of giving a bad review to a product that isn't meant to work on their hair in the way they are using it. ... show more

Great for short hair. The plastic "bristles" allow the hair to wrap around the barrel. The only complaint I have is that the high gets too hot so I use the low setting and need to dry my hair more with a blow dryer before using this product.

I have used this hair tool for almost a year. It works well for intended purpose of styling hair pieces; but it was accidentally bumped and it fell from my counter top to the floor and literally came apart into pieces on the floor. I have accidentally dropped my hair dryers and curling irons and they haven't cracked, broken, nothing.....continued using as usual. Was so disappointed with this item. The curl release button broke on the second use. The brush's little feet would not attach securely into the slot, making it useless. It did, however, give me the right amount of very soft wave, and just slightly curling under the ends for a smooth look. It has kind of a cheap feel. Don't use the curl release button because that part breaks easily making the brush useless. Update: It didn't break! The screw-on tip came off, and that's what holds the brush on the rod. I used it a third time without utilizing the curl release. It worked just fine. It heats on high that is manageable, and not too hot. I use it after using a larger curling dryer brush to give a little body at the ends of my hair. I am keeping this brush, and giving it 5 stars because it works fine, and the price is right. ... show more
