Great arcade stick! Got it for the Nintendo Switch and PC usage, so it's pretty easy to switch (puns) between the two. You can even use a USB-A 2.0 to USB-C adapter and plug it directly into the switch without the dock...though you'll need a stand. The only real downside is it can only be used on one console or PC, instead of the primary 3 and PC. The assign and turbo modes can be a bit hard to figure out, but a quick youtube video will walk you through it. I never use them, to be honest, but it is a function that can be utilized. The cable has a good length, the compartment to store it or manage is large and easy to open/close. It's the only part that feels not as solid as the rest, but I think its flexibility is to keep it from breaking if it were impacted, kind of like Rubbermaid. The Hayabusa 30mm buttons are responsive and quick, with a matte finish that doesn't stick to your fingers (though some people like that grip, the buttons are incredibly easy to swap). The Hayabusa fight stick itself is excellent. Responsive, clicky, with medium-to-low resistance. This was made for speed, but if you play hard, it isn't going to be as springy as maybe a Sanwa. The case itself is very sturdy, with a hidden recessed handle in the front, and two on the sides to move its position. There are two rubber foam pads on the bottom that align with your thighs if you rest on your lap, or practically glue themselves to a glass or metal surface when placed on a desk or table. It will not be moving around! The deck on top is simple, but attractive, with a nice smooth-yet-grippy surface to rest your left hand. The front corner is angled so you can rest the pad of your right palm on it perfectly while you can piano the buttons The one mod I made sure to do was the restrictor gate. If you aren't familiar, the restrictor gate is a piece of acrylic or molded plastic that is put on the bottom of the stick and dictates the shape of the outline if you moved the stick around the border. It comes with a square gate, which is most popular in Asia (specifically Japan), while an octagonal gate or a round gate is more prominent in Europe and the Americas. The Japanese method is staying within the gate, so it really could be any shape, but the square is fantastic for charge character play and each of the 9 inputs (neutral, up, up/right, right, down/right, down, down/left, left, up/left) have equal size in a square gate, all about 11% of your area. BUT, you can't really feel true up, down, left and right, just the corners. The round is good for riding the gate, while the octagonal is good for knowing exactly which direction you are inputting, but has small diagonal areas. I prefer a hybrid of octagonal and round, where the 8 corners are rounded off a little and have a distinct "bump" on the 8 points. Helps with my uppercuts on SF. To get to it, the bottom plate has to come off with a few Phillips head screws (voiding the warranty, but hey, if something breaks, it's easy for me to fix it!). Remove 4 screws off the old plate, slap the new one and reuse them to reattach. Bingo, done. While you're in there, you may want to take a picture of where the wires go on your buttons for reference, should you want to install different ones in the future. So overall I think it's a great stick. Very sturdy with good heft and excellent parts. If you're an enthusiast or want to make all your side-scrolling old-school Arcade games running on your PC or the ported ones on Switch feel like an actual arcade, this is like a time-traveling device. Alright, I have been debating on buying this product for about a year and a half to almost two years, what kept me away was the price, so this gives you a little background. Growing up in the 90s I was very familiar with three major gaming platforms, arcades, home consoles and PC gaming, they all had a massive evolution in the 90s, I have had various consoles, I play a variety of different genres and there was a time when because of one reason or another I could not afford modern gaming. I love all genres but it's a major known thing amongst friends, family etc I've always favored the fighting game genre, I do play a little bit of everything but that genre in particular is my favorite, I'm not a pro player, I do not go to tournaments, but I enjoy single player experiences, multi player, and online play. In early 2018 I got a Nintendo switch, bought many games, and controllers but I have always been interested in an arcade stick. Power A and Hori are probably the two most known companies when it comes to manufacturing officially licensed products for the Nintendo Switch. Obviously I went down the internet rabbit hole of you tube, website and even reading reviews on Amazon for a decent arcade/fight stick, only one issue, when it comes to the Nintendo Switch, they do have a decent variety available but not of the higher end brands who develop for the Xbox or Playstation, but I knew who Hori was and I was well aware of the Real Arcade Pro aka RAP for short and because of money I hesitated but after researching I found out with an arcade stick hobby you tend to get what you pay for and as for quality this is one of the higher end good quality sticks for the Nintendo Switch, now that I purchased it here's my review and opinion, I just simply love this arcade stick, I don't just use it in fighting games though obviously that's abundant, but any arcade style game or Collection this arcade stick gets a lot of use. I love the weight, it's not heavy but not lite, it has a good medium balance in that department, I love how clicky the joystick is and the spring back into neutral feel fine and works great, I love the feel of the buttons, everything seems responsive, I haven't noticed or seen any delay, it has two rubber pads on the bottom that make it comfortable and easy if you prefer to use the stick in your lap, the chord length is great you can sit a good and decent distance away from your television, its just a great feeling good built product. The packaging was great, the delivery was on time, no issues with handle or care, the mailing box didn't have any dings or scratches, you can tell who ever handled it, did so with care. I definitely have no complaints, after looking at this thing for a couple of years I couldn't be happier with my purchase, and with the switch version its recognized as a pro controller, and has the appropriate +/- as well as the screenshot and home button. I bought this stick two years ago for SF 30th Anniversary Collection, some Neo Geo Titles, Smash, and a few other Fighting games expecting to get a ton of use out of it on my Nintendo Switch. Turns out, I didn't, as the Switch's Fighting Game library and Fighting-game player-base never really reached that of the likes of PS4. The stick didn't even work with Smash because the joystick is mapped to the d-pad and can't be changed to be the left joy stick even after the 10.0.0 Software Update. There are a few things a customer should know before buying this product: (1) the stick is really long and will definitely stretch beyond your normal arm length when in the anatomical position, (2) the buttons themselves feel very cheap, and they tend to make a lot of noise when hit compared to many other fight sticks in the market, (3) there is an entire frame of input delay on the stick, which isn't noticeable for newcomers, but will be important if you are/intend to get good or competitive at a fighting game. Apart from these nitpicks, the stick worked pretty well. Its not cheap and feels pretty quality when it comes to weight and texture. I have know the USB doors to easily break, but as long as you take care of yours like I did, you should be fine. Solid 8/10 stick. ... show more

The buttons are great and the stick is good. Its easy to mod as well. I ended up switching the buttons and stick only for preference. My only gripe is that for pc games, youll need to button map, but its not too bad since this controller is mainly aimed at the Nintendo switch user base. It works well on the switch and has no noticeable input delay. Playing games like blazblue, dragonball fightez, and even smash is fun.
