Did it on my own, so that took some time, especially when attaching the headboard to the frame. With that being said It can be assembled with one person. I definitely looks more expensive than it is. With the perfect bedding it is very elegant and matter. So happy I went with color. The perfect mattress is 12 inch and it fit just right. The bed is also not too low to the ground for the average height person. All the pieces came in one box, that was one reason I didn't go with another seller was the reviews saying half of the bed came and then the other half the following week. That was not an issue here.

Opening the box, I thought I was missing some pieces, but in reality, nothing was labeled so I kinda had to guess what part was what. I have ZERO knowledge on putting stuff together because I usually get some silly man to do it for me, but this time I decided to be independent and do it myself…so I had my 15 year old nephew read the directions as I assembled 😂 I had no idea what I was doing and it took me 2 hours to get everything together (with the added mistakes and brackets screwed in backwards). 10/10 easy for someone who’s built things before. The velvet itself is clean and soft and perfect. I got black and it’s true to color. The height it perfect. I expected it to be much shorter as I was assembling it, but to my surprise, it’s decently tall coming from someone who’s 6’0. I got what I paid for and I regret nothing. It feels sturdy and I feel like my bed FEELS more comfy since I ditched my box spring for these slats. Y’all, I love this bed so much. I’m so happy I went out on a limb and got something I wanted that was affordable online. Ps. The picture I took was right after I assembled, so nothing is decorated or looking perfectly pretty like how I have it now. But, it’s all a work in progress. Don’t judge my plain room 🖤😂

The bed was so cute but noticed a smell as soon as we took the plastic off… was bought for my daughter months ago so couldn’t return. Stunk so bad it started making the whole hall and other bedroom in that area stink as well! Totally disappointed bc literally threw away $400! We put it outside for 72 hours and it still smelled horrid! To the dump it went! Bummer bc it was really cute!
