Insulation was super easy, especially since I was upgrading from a previous Honeywell smart thermostat but even then it was. It’s still super easy walks you through everything as long as you have a C wire if you don’t have a C wire make sure you get the C wire adapter I like this rectangular fit because of your upgrading from an existing rectangular model. You don’t have to worry about repainting or anything the matter compatibility I have this integrated into my smart system so it’ll pre-cool the house or preheat the house based on my proximity the door unlocked when the door sensor goes off the fan will stop blowing if it’s reaches ideal temperature or will be set to automatic. There’s so much you can do. It’s really cool. Also the temperature sensor that you can place in any room wherever you’re spending the most of your time or where it’s typically unbalanced based on the thermostat placement. Honeywell is a trusted name and this is no different. Hooked up myself quickly and easily from an old not smart thermostat. Also like the room sensor to make sure our bedroom stays perfect temp at night.

It works well with google home commands. You can adjust the temp up and down with the home app only. You must use the resideo app, but I think it is better than the old google nest app. I use it with one sensor in the living room. Better than the google nest sensors on the things it measures and it doesn’t use an expensive type battery. One thing that I chose this was the ability of the thermostat to “circulate” the air randomly through the schedule. Nest could never do this and I like to circulate the air in my home periodically throughout the day. ... show more

Works when it works. I bought for a new home that I'm not living in just yet. The device keeps dropping its wifi connection. I spent a lot of money to replace the existing thermostats and these keep dropping out. The wifi in the house is fine and when I'm in the house i just remove the thermostat from the base and plug it back and they reset but i can't do that from here. Beyond the 30 day return window so I'm stuck. ... show more

Overall it’s a good design. Easy to program and I like that it has an app so I can adjust from anywhere. It says it’s supposed to work with my ring doorbell and show on the screen who’s at the door without my phone but I have been unable to make this work. It says it’s all connected properly but it never shows on the screen but for me this isn’t a deal breaker. If you aren’t set on having it work with the doorbell it’s a good unit. ... show more

It was a little challenging to install due to complexity replacing a Nest thermostat. I added the room sensor, and I was able to set up my ring doorbell eventually. I ended up buying an additional room sensor and it worked really well. The two blue tabs need to be up in my setup, in the picture one was up and another one down, but both had to be up. It took some minutes for the thermostat to start working, it almost made me believe it was wrongly wired, but it worked eventually. For the ring set up, you have to click in the main screen and then go to the settings, look for the doorbell option. If you go to the settings on the left, it won’t show. ... show more

Thermostats were purchased to replace Nest that stopped functioning properly. They easily swapped out and work great. The added bonus of a weather page home screen and the integration with my Ring doorbell are nice bonuses.
