I bought this from my double wide 1400 square-foot mobile home. Once I set it up, I was blown away literally! The fit in the window was easy getting it up and running took about 10 minutes. Be aware as of last year or might’ve been the year before that, they changed how many square feet a BTU will cover and used to go by the American standard which with a 14,500 BTU air conditioner it was ready to call about 1300 ft.². Now they’ve changed to the British standard which lowers the square feet they can cover it says 800 ft.². I have this hooked up to a room that is approximately 1100 ft.² kitchen dining room living room. It’s all kind of one big room. Within 20 minutes it had the entire room cool while it was 90 outside. I highly recommend it. I also put one of these in my bedroom which is only about 500 ft.² , it can make your bedroom freezing. I said it for 69 and when I stepped in my bedroom and close the door I needed a jacket! Outside it was 101 and this is it your standard home it has a metal roof and metal sheeting on the outside , we recently open up the walls and change to a better insulation and put up sheet rock this help insulate the mobile home much better. This also made the air conditioners work. A lot better. If I turn on the one in my bedroom and leave the door open and I have a barn door slide it open And I turn on the other air conditioner at the far side of the house which is 40 feet away between the two the whole house gets down to about 70° and we have to turn the fans down because we’re all freezing lol. I highly recommend this product. Joey .

Dual hose design is well implemented. Well engineered product. $250 more expensive than competitor units of the same rating but other units with only one hose are far less efficient. This unit has a much better DOE/SACC rating for a 14000 BTU ASHRAE rated unit than competitor units. Online reviews say it is the quietest unit on the market. I measured power consumption at 1060 watts and discharge air to a 68 degree room was 23 degreesF with fan on low and 31 degreesF with fan on high. With intake air at the rear intake duct measuring 66 degreesF, the discharge air to the outside was 103 degreesF. All that said, the manual makes reference to the same unit with a heating mode. I called Honeywell and indeed the same unit with heat is showing in their database but it is not listed as available. That is a shame because this unit with heat mode in addition would really be awesome. Maybe the other model is coming someday as this model is new on the market as of 2022. In order to save some money I bought this on Amazon as refurbished. The cardboard box and all Styrofoam looked nearly demolished upon arrival. Inspection of the internal lower heat exchanger shows the compressor has previously crashed into the heat exchanger bending the entire heat exchanger unit 1/4 inch and leaving huge dents in the aluminum heat fins. The compressor is shock mounted and it had to move over 2.5 inches to do this amount of damage. Well engineered unit but the heat exchanger could have been better protected from an impact such as tipping over or movement of the compressor during shipping. I will be returning it to Amazon for a replacement. Update: Amazon can not replace refurbished products, only return for refund because the pricing on refurbishes products varies and depends on individual circumstances according to the specifics of each refurbished unit. Amazon will make monetary compensation on a case by case basis. There is no manufacturer warranty on this refurbished unit if I keep it so I take the risk should the damage cause a future failure.

I bought it in May of last year (2023), and it worked great for the 3 1/2 months I used it. When the heatwave hit the west coast last week, I got it running, and it worked great for a two or three days, then started tripping the circuit breaker. After I reset it for a third time, I could smell melted plastic. I called the number for the extended warranty I bought. Thankfully, I got a full refund for the retail price, but not the tax or warranty. The refund comes by way of an Amazon credit by the way, no cash. And was told to just throw this unit away. All of this happened on the hottest day for us here in NW Washington state, with it reaching 101° that day. I quickly ordered a lesser unit + insurance, and still had to pay more out of pocket, and it won't be delivered for a week. I'm a disabled, senior, living on disability. It took me an entire year to save enough to buy this unit, only for it to die after 3 1/2 months. And then, the last thing... When I click on the unit I ordered from my orders page, it brings me to this page. However, the unit listed on this page is NOT the one I ordered. It looks very different. So, what's with that? It doesn't look like they even sell the exact unit I bought last year.
