This stand was cheap in price, not very substantial but it certainly works fine and does what I need it to do which is hold spools of thread. Sometimes I put it on the table next to my embroidery machine & sometimes on the floor. Does NOT work with small spools, anymore (yes, even with the cap removed). Searching the product page, it was unclear whether it would, but some review photos gave me hope - well, those photos were from several years ago, when it was slightly different (the pegs were skinnier, the tall peg/post was metal rather than plastic). It’s very inexpensive, lightweight - you get what you pay for. I like the idea from another person’s review of adding washers to the bottom to add weight and stability. But, it won’t suit my needs as I want a holder that can also work with small thread spools, since the holders on my old machine both broke off. ... show more

This is the cutest thing I think I ever ordered. I was going to order a plain black one, but I saw this and it was priced about the same as the standard thread holders. I'm so glad I ordered this one because not only is it made pretty sturdy, it's functional and since I take classes with other sewers, they'll know it's mine. This thread holder worked out perfect. A vary good value for the price. Not heavy. Easy to relocate. Fits in small places, making it a perfect addition to single needle machines. Making it easy to change between colors.

No instructions included. Made very cheap. Top piece where threads go thru doesn’t even click in place and stay on. A customer should not have to glue any parts or make adjustments just to use the product. It gets a zero for rating !

I’m new to machine embroidery and wanted to buy thread in a larger spool than will fit on my machine. I read that the spool holders work well so I took a chance. I’m glad I did. It does work very well and is easy to set up. Makes changing colors easier too.
