I have full control of the pan for moving it on my cooktop and pouring if need be. They also match my pan's color, which is important to me. Using these handle covers makes it much easier to remove the hot pot from the oven and I haven't burned myself yet, as I used to with standard cloth holders. The grip is secure and safe.
