So far I’m incredibly impressed. I bought this to use in my grow tent for plants. Other brands like AC Infinity and VIVOSUN charge a ton for their inline fans with filters, and this works great for my 4x2 tent. I talked to a fellow grower who claims to have been using his fan for going on 8 years now! It is a bit loud but I don’t care. Haven’t reached the flowering stage so I can’t say for the smell there but it came with 2 charcoal filter sleeves and I can’t smell it when I feed my plants. It’s made out of plastic but it’s solid and looks good.

The media could not be loaded. Been running it for a week now and so far so good. I love how compact the fan is and it came with a good size carbon filter so it’s less air resistance on the small 6w 4” fan. Super quiet too, you can barely hear it when you’re just around the corner (see, or should I say hear video). The 130 cfm rating on the fan seems to be plenty for my little 2’x3’x5’ tent cuz it’s workin like a champ so far at half speed, and still quiet at full speed. Great value and easy functionality with the speed dial. Fan is mostly plastic but sturdy. Only complaint is the ducting is a little smaller than the end of the fan it goes onto, so I really had to twist it to open it up enough to wiggle it on there but no big deal. Would still buy again, no reason to spend more.

A very quiet 6" exhaust fan for grow tent with 8' of hose and all hardware is just perfect. The filter element is a big cylinder and well put together. The fan comes with a rheostat to modify your fan speeds, which of course is desirable. There's a pulley system to suspend the blower and exhaust hose smartly above your grow operation in your tent. It went together very easy, and we were literally " blown away" by how well this unit functions, let me say this-it's very powerful and very quiet for the amount of air it's moving! I am currently " gathering" all needed items to soon set up a grow tent, so this is another item off the must buy list for me. Judging by the filter canister and filter material and ability to move a LOT of air, smell will not be an issue, and plant health should be great, as well. The parts are go together easy, clearly marked, built to last, amply strong to do it's job, and at an extremely affordable price point. " On your mark, get set, GROW! "

CONS: None. PROS: Quiet. Airflow. Additional Thoughts: I am a mealworm farmer and when sifting, it causes a lot of frass, sheddings, dust to go airborne. I'm working on a new building for my mealworms and wanted to include some ventilation. I measured the airflow at about 17-18mph which calculates to around 290cfm. I haven't designed my room yet but if I go with a 10'x10' room, this fan can theoretically change out the air in 2.7 minutes. I'm thinking about having a small hood over my workspace to direct some airflow and help this fan suck out all that material out of the air. I have been getting more affected by it and having this fan suck out the irritants should help a lot. LovingTheRetiredLife

I purchased this product for a use not specifically cited in the product description. Basically, to provide "forced" ventilation & circulation for our small outdoor greenhouse. Of course, since it's currently winter outside & freezing cold, I cannot yet set this up for our greenhouse. Instead, I quickly tested this fan to move heated air between my garage (which has a stand-alone wood burner in it) & a separate room (set up as a work shop) attached to that garage. While there's a service door between my garage & the separate workshop, the air & heat circulation between the two areas is not sufficient. That's where this fan comes in (at least temporarily). I simply have it set up to pull heated garage air near the ceiling & blow it into the workshop area toward the floor. It's not fancy & I don't currently use the filter, but it makes a HUGE difference toward preventing cold air drafts in the workshop & getting some of that heated air into the workshop. The speed control is very much appreciated to ensure it suits my needs. If I need more ventilation & quicker warming, I turn it up. Once the temperature is comfortable and/or I want less moving air, I turn the speed down. Based on how well it works for my alternate use, I can only imagine it will work fine for what it's intended for. Of course, I am leery of proprietary/exclusive filter designs, but I did not check into this one, as I don't intend to use the filter, at least not yet.

I just received my grow tent today along with this air filtration exchange and system and the integrated unit works as it should. The fan is quiet and the filter has eliminated all outflow odors exiting the tent. As the air is evacuated, any open, unused port on your tent will pull fresh-air into the tent completing the in and out exchange of the required fresh air now pressurized within the tent.. I am really impressed with all of the components and how easily and quickly I was able to set this up and start using. Overall. I recommend this to anyone planning an active, indoor grow.
