One bracket arrived damaged. It is bent worse than it appears in photos; thus the 4x4 won't fit in the opening. I don't have the time or energy to repackage and drive to the UPS store for return, so I guess it will go on the junk heap. The other bracket seems to be fine. I haven't installed it yet.

Size: 4"x 4" 3-Way T Bracket
The website description says it's 3.6" inner diameter. It's not, it's 3.75". Putting this onto a 3.5" post leaves way too much room. It's a very sloppy fit. This is the second time I'm buying a "tee" bracket with this same issue. The first corner brackets I bought fit great, so I know it's possible to make a bracket that will fit on a 3.5" post, but I can't find one on amazon.

The media could not be loaded. Used two t-brackets for a small backyard project. The inside dimensions are more like 3.75 inches rather than 3.5 inches as advertised. My project wobbles and the brackets actually bent in when attaching with screws. Cannot recommend, if this was a larger project they would be totally useless.

These brackets made building my pergola easy. Have a plan before you start and double-check your measurements. I did most of this by myself and I would NOT recommend that. We have since added 10 ft shades to 3 of the sides. The only problem is that they are pretty loose for a standard 4x4. I had to add some wood shims to tighten up on the post.
