This Home Styles large server with stainless steel top is constructed of hardwood and wood products in a white finish. Wow, this thing kicked my butt, lol. Totally worth it once it's finished, but I spent probably 5 and a half hours putting it all together from start to finish. I've ordered in bedroom furniture, computer desks, all kinds of shelving, (just to illustrate that this is not at all my first time putting together furniture) so I had anticipated being able to get it knocked out in about an hour or two, but once I started opening the first box which only contained materials for the bottom base part I realized after about the 4th or 5th layer in the first box alone that it might be a little more involved. Basically not one single piece is pre-assembled, and to give an example the back piece (which would normally just be one thin sheet that you tack on) is made up of between 9-12 pieces that all have to slide and lock in together at the same time depending on if it's the base or the hutch (both pieces are similar in putting together but the base has a little more). Whoever came up with that old joke about "some assembly required" must have been talking about this unit lol. Anyway, one excellent thing is that the hardware comes in a big bag, and inside that main bag all the groups of bolts and screws are individually bagged and labeled (i.e. "short screws for drawer backs", "long wood screws for drawers", etc) so that made it extremely helpful, I wish all manufacturers would ship their hardware this way, takes all the guessing and possible confusion out of the equation. Instructions are very well written too. Like I said, this thing was a project to assemble, but after it was done it's a very sharp looking piece of kitchen furniture. Seems very solid and sturdy, seemed to be made more of wood than press board (I could be wrong, though if I am they definitely did an excellent job of making it look and feel like real wood). The styrofoam it came packed in was a little weird, it was kind of stringy on the ends almost like it was spun from strands or something, but that's just an observation I could care less how it was packaged as long as it shows up without damage. Bottom line - would definitely recommend and purchase again if needed, but would probably wait for a weekend to put it together. ... show more

Your delivery driver will likely hate you for ordering this, the box for the buffet alone was a 2-person lift (and that's generous). The unit is well designed, with adjustable feet and smooth magnetic doors to fit the space. I wasn't expecting the pieces to be so solid, I had to partially assemble the frame and move it to the kitchen for the rest so I could still carry the thing. The paint finish was smooth and unchipped, and the pre-drilled holes lined up well (save for one piece that I had to self-tap one of the holes). the included hardware is pretty solid too, and the cam-lock fasteners make assembly and disassembly fairly easy, in case I need to take it down and move it or paint a different color. I was hesitant about getting the stainless steel top since they were out of the wood one I wanted, but after putting it on I'm really glad I did! It's very nicely designed and gives the piece a more industrial/rustic look. the shelves are adjustable but very stable, and the door/drawer pulls are just right for this piece. my only heads up is that the drawers are deceptively smaller than I expected, slightly shorter than a sheet of printer paper, but the size of the unit otherwise is great. Right now I've moved my coffee station to it and am in the process of re-organizing some of my kitchen things to fill this unit properly. Loving it so far! ... show more

The buffet and hutch were very well made. It really looks cute and is very sturdy. Given the reasonable price we were pleasantly surprised that it was so well made. There are lots of parts to assemble, but the instructions were pretty clear so we didn't run into any problems putting it together. One of the cabinet doors was damaged in shipment. The manufacturer was wonderful to deal with and a new door was on it's way to us after just a couple of minutes on the phone. ... show more

Dudes honestly, it's niiiiice! They forgot to include the hinges for one of the glass doors up top, but Customer service was amazing and shipped it to me next day air, so all good. Also packaging was messy and a little much, but SUPER APPRECIATED! It literally kept anything from breaking during delivery. All in all, I love it dudes. But you definitely need help because building it was a bit of a struggle, but belive me when I say, IT'S WORTH IT ONCE IT'S DONE... FREAKING BEAUTIFUL! 💯 ... show more

Great sturdy piece of furniture , very good instructions , everything was packaged very well. I give 4 stars because the dimensions were not accurate . The product is said to have 17" inch depth and this was a primary reason why ordered it - to fit my large coffee machine, which is 17" deep, however the true depth is barely 16" and my machine is sticking out ... show more

We had no issues putting this together. All the pieces were packed very well. Nothing was missing, cracked, or broke. All the holes lined up too. The color brightens up my kitchen. This thing is very sturdy and heavy. Comes in three packages: 1. Bottom buffet, 2. Hutch, and 2. Your countertop. I chose the stainless steel and very happy with it. Also,, I love the color. Someone else commented it was more of a light gray than off white and I agree. Almost a very light taupe. One of the door glass panels arrived broke and they immediately sent out a whole new door, which was very easy to replace. I strongly recommend this hutch and even stronger recommend the company.
