just got this frame today - way heavier than I expected! which I hope is a good thing, meaning that it's sturdy & solid ... idk exactly how long it took me to put it together by myself, but I'll say 2 hours tops ... before starting to screw anything together, make sure the back & front pieces are correctly placed with the little 'envelope' that will take the bottom inserts; lay out the 3 different (H, I, J if I recall) bottom rails that'll hold the mattress; have tools, screws, & nuts (all included) laid at the ready & you shouldn't have any problems ... I also purchased the cheapest recommended foam mattress, but am worried about the bed frame bottom leaving dents in it - so was considering getting plywood to place on the frame, under the mattress ... neighbor Dan to the rescue! (Dan lives the next street up from me, has given me grief for years about ordering on-line & I'd never catch him doing so! well, Dan has seen my purchases & now is an Amazon Prime member & has spent thousands here! LOL) Dan recently purchased a similar frame & mattress to mine, & was also worried about 'mattress dents': he recycled the cardboard boxes his frame & mattress came in & used them instead of plywood! (I've seen his purchases & they seem to be holding up, cardboard & all) so I, too, plan to use my cardboard to put on top of the beds bottom rails & put the mattress on top ... I will be using this every night as my main bed & only hope it holds up! ... IFF this frame craps out anytime soon, believe me: I'll be whinging on here & changing my 5 star rating! ... there are a few scratches, but I doubt anyone other than me will ever notice ... there were some 'stains' on the packing & some on the frame (the packing I tossed - except the cardboard lol) & simply wiped off my hands & pieces that had - idk? rust? cocoa powder? lol stuff that's probably profuse in any manufacturing plant) ... a few extra nuts/bolts/allen wrench ... if I had paid thou$and$ for a bed frame, yes I would expect everything pristine! I won't lose sleep (pun intended!) over a few minor imperfections ... I would NOT jump up & down on this type of frame nor 'fling' myself onto the bed like some heroine in an old movie ... I wouldn't want large dogs constantly jumping up on it ... I wouldn't get 'wild n crazy' (if you get my meaning) on this style of bed frame - but I do expect (& hope & wish) to simply get a decent nights sleep on this frame for many, many years to come! ... I've a 'hot pepper' US govt FREE Qlink cel phone - i can take pictures but it won't allow me to upload, otherwise I'd post pics of everything I've purchased from Amazon ... I live in a tiny lo-inco apt; friends have given me couches. chairs, end tables, etc - including a Q size bed! ... it was so claustrophobic & there was no room to open the small over, manuever around the bed, etc ... so I got rid of it all & am going back to my original design I anticipated moving in here: fluffy rugs & coffee tables to sit on & eat at in my living/dining room/kitchen combination LOL ... & my twin size daybed for my bedroom, & can now have room for my narrow, shelved lamps & even a folding table for my chromebook! ... I'm so far pleased with all my Amazon purchases I've received, & hope they'll bring me function & form for a very long time. ... show more

The color is perfect, texture is great! Super cute. I slept like a baby on it. No creaks or squeaks, and it was aesthetically just what I was looking for. Assembled it by myself in about 2 or 3 hours (recommended is 2 adults, presumably so one with better spatial reasoning can look at what you're doing and say 'hi, I think you're building it backwards', every few minutes, so I think I did pretty well all things considered). The ONLY complaint is that one of the support bars is flush with the front middle of the bed. I've hit my feet left, right, and center on that stupid bar and I've only had it for a day! I'll have to wrap it in a pool noodle or a sock for sure, what a pain!! A quite literal pain, unfortunately. But for the money I give it 4 stars, the only reason it's not a 5 is my shattered toes. RIP :,) ... show more

I purchased this daybed for my newly decorated family room. I love the old fashioned look of it. The sturdiness of this item is wonderful, more than I thought it would be. I bought a 12inch thick twin mattress for on it and it fits great! I'm thinking of replacing the upstairs single bed for one of these because it just looks so nice. I've had my husband, myself and grandchild on this bed and there is no shift in the frame. If you're looking for this kind of décor, BUY IT you'll be pleased. We have cats and they tore up my sofa as a scratching post. I decided to go with metal daybed so that I can use it as a sofa and a lying around watching TV. I decided on this brand and model for the floowing reason: 1. It has rails on the sides and the back so that my memory foam mattress doesn't get moved around or stick out of the frame. 2. It has a middle rail to prevent from sagging in the middle. Assembly: It took about an hour. It came with stainless steel bolts and all labeled to identify easily. You don't need any tools; it came with a hex bit. The instruction was very clear; just go step by step as the instrcution shows. My wife helped but I could've done it myself. If the bolts is too tight, don't force it. Back it out and screw it again. If you want to be fancy, you can use 'lock tight liquid' to prevent from future unbolting. I put 6 inch Olee memoryfoam mattress $72 with a vinyl waterproof cover $5. I covered it with Daybed Cover Set $47. I put 3 Serta SuperFirm pilows $8@ to support my back when I sit. I found this daybed perfect, easy to set up, no squeaks, reasonal price. ... show more

UPDATED REVIEW------ While still worth the money, this bed did not last when used by a 4 year old. The welds holding the metal bars together did not hold on either bed and for the boys safety, due to very rough metal edging, I had to replace them yet again. I attempted to use the daybed without the back wall since thats where the breaks occured, but the bed was so unsturdy, it wouldnt be safe for a pet to sleep on. Value: 5/5 because the price was amazing Sturdiness: 2/5 Easy to assemble (and disassemble) 5/5. No problems there. ORIGINAL REVIEW------ I purchased 2 of these to go in my boys' bedroom after going through multiple wood frame beds in the last 2 years. As a mom with an autistic child, I needed something sturdy that could hold up to his sensory needs. It never dawned on me to get a metal bed until I saw this one. So my review: Easy to assemble. Took about 45min to assemble the first one via directions, and about half that time to assemble the second. All the holes lined up perfectly and everything was easy to assemble Sturdy: i gave that area 4 stars because even though I followed the directions, the metal bars are hollow, the bed itself is quite wiggly? Thats not the right word but Im going to use it for lack of better word. Its not "oh its going to fall apart" wiggly, but its a little bit. This bed will last longer than our previous beds have; probably for years. Value: 5 stars! I grabbed this on sale, it was about 126$ before taxes and worth every single penny. If I had to furnish another room for a child, I would without a doubt pay full list price for this. ... show more

I desperately needed a day bed for a small bedroom I was putting together for my sickly mother's caretaker. I already had a roll away bed but it was uncomfortable for an adult and after a weeks worth of use the springs were falling out. I needed another option asap. After scrolling for a couple of days I saw this day bed and quite honestly was concerned about the sturdiness and durability. I saw the inexpensive price and was concerned it was a reflection on the quality. I took a chance anyway and I'm thrilled to say that this bed is fantastic! It's perfectly sturdy, simple yet fairly attractive, and more than easy to assemble. There weren't a hundred little pieces to get lost or roll around during assembly. The box it came in was about 50 pounds and not too difficult to move upstairs. I must will confess it was the 47 year old caretaker herself that put the bed together and she said it was way easy. She is a grown woman over 220 pounds and after the first night sleep declared the bed solid. Mind you, it's not designed to be a trampoline, but solid support for the weight and tossing and turning of a person. I also purchased the 8 inch spring foam hybrid mattress and it's really comfortable. This thing is a winner! ... show more
